Worth Coming Back?
Just a straight-up question. I know things have changed a lot since I quit (the last time I played we still had TT)... But I was just wondering what the opinions are of other older players who are still online? I don't have much time to play, it would just be to kill time for a few minutes at a time, nothing serious. My damage totally sucks too, never really been much to care.
Any opinions are very welcome, thanks folks.

I might end up trying it after midterms, just for kicks...
I'm coming back because I want to know what the game is like now. I also missed my friends there and just having fun killing mobs, bossing, and getting stronger. I honestly don't care much for half of what's going on in the game, I just care about grinding levels with good friends and just having a great time.
I've been thinking about this too.
Seeing you in this section just reminds me of the old times when i still played my NL! Really happy to see you finally post something <3
The game itself is going downhill, but you can always make anything fun if you just have friends who you can talk to along the way.
And RED is coming soon, so why not give it a try?
Nothing wrong with coming back. I've been for eight years on and off to play a little here and there. My damage is also horrible, barley capping 40k range. It's fun to log in hunt a few mobs and bosses then bounce off, get that flash jumping shadow partnering out of your system.
Didn't think I'd see VolcomStone back around here, you were one of my inspirations for getting to NL! The class has changed a bunch, and we don't feel as unique as we used to, but they're still fun. However Maple in general seems to have lost a lot of its charm, the community has steadily been going down for quite a while, and there doesn't seem to be the same sense of accomplishment with anything that there used to be. Maybe we're all just growing up, or maybe its the game. Who knows!
You should let the nostalgia die. I had to shift my reason for playing in order to stay, although since I did it quite easily, I made it worth my while. If you can do the same it could be worth your time, but I have no idea what you'd actually want to accomplish here. Come back for a day and find old friends, and if they all quit or moved on, then I suggest you do the same.
Give a try, for me still being really nice.

Yeah, I feel like I'm only logging on now for the Hot Times and whatnot. My friends and I just correspond through other means like Skype, which really leaves Maple sort of barren when it comes to attractions.
Although you shouldn't let my voice alone put you off! I would get multiple opinions so as to formulate the best picture of what the game is like now and how well you would fit in.

That's kinda what I figured... It was already going downhill when I quit. I dunno why, I just remembered about this game tonight, and kinda got a bit nostalgic.

Personally I wouldn't come back. The game feels even more inhospitable, and coupled with meaningless events, even more droll. Gollux is sort of neat, I guess?
For a few minutes, I guess it could be alright to just chat around with friends, but if you're looking for gameplay, I'd say look elsewhere.
