How good are Fire Poisons post Red?
Hi Basilers, currently I main a Wild Hunter, I like the Wild Hunter but i might have lost intrest in it..... I was thinking of starting a Fire Poison just to see how it plays since I dont want to hit too low while being decently funded. If i had 100%int with maybe a decent M att Fanfir Staff, how much damage would i be with all level 2 link skills and a 3 piece reinforced gollux set along with a 4 piece fanfir set? Also could someone describe how a Fire Poison works at training in 4th job. What skills do we use to mob, if we need any combos to chain up and how are they in terms of a class are they squishy, how are they in bossing etc. Is there also a way that we could afk train in SDH or something on a fire poison arch mage? Its always bow classes vs f/p's, third one I saw. Also about the afk training, I doubt the fire aura works, I think Nexon made it so if your standing still for a certain period of time that it will disable your skill until you move again. And yes f/p's are good, just a bit squishy so a Kaiser skill link and cannoneer would be helpful.

I was originally going to type a legitimate response to this thread until I read "Is there also a way that we could afk train in SDH or something on a fire poison arch mage?". You see, I would usually make a sassy remark and link you to nexon's FAQ and point out how "afk training" is literally botting regardless of how much you sugar coat it, but then I came across a strange thought: It is actually insulting to people who know how to program and create illicit programs to call leaving heavyweights on your computer botting and have it comparable to actual intelligence. If you are too lazy to even train I'm just baffled by what you expect to get out of this game. Please do not make a F/P Mage, ever.
When training, you are basically going to be spamming paralyze the whole time. Although, you could mist the map so that your fervent drain and storm magic proc for some extra damage on mobs, but that doesn't really matter if you 1 hit them.
When bossing, you will be using the FH-ME combo with 5 DoT's stacked to maximize ME's damage. In terms of raw DPS on bosses, they are among the best.
for training, it's mostly just paralyze + meteor. paralyze is very quick and efficient. ifrit and the lv 150 hyper should also be on. you can summon the viral slime for additional damage and map control.
