Uncommonly talked about states

Here's the list I made of states people really don't refer too.~

Iowa
West Virgina
Indiana
Connecticut
Delaware
Idaho
Montana
Missouri
Maryland
Nebraska
New Hampshire
North/South Carolina
Utah
Wyoming
Wisconsin
Washington
North/South Dakota
Vermont
Maine

Why is that not many people refer or talk about these states?
And the sad part is that I'm from one of those states listed above. >.<

Texas had quite a few things to say about Missouri when we lost the World Series to them...

My roommate is from Indiana and she always tells me that the Midwest is just too boring to talk about.

Probably because they're not as populous.

New Hampshire is usually talked about in the media every 4 years (election cycle) because it's typically a swing state.

The only other one I would disagree with is North Carolina, as it's a pretty significant and populated state.

West Virginia? Uncommonly talked about? They're the butt of every incest/redneck joke.
