Yeah, they were both horrible. But hey, you never know how good something will be until you try it. Those two just really sucked. At least they were better than Akuma no Riddle?

Disappointing titles were Akuma no Riddle, Black Bullet, in the darkness thingy, and Date A Live II.
Slightly under average: Isshuukan Friends, Hitsugi no Chaika

@Yumtoast:

yeah i meant the character art. All the characters are blushing 24/7 and the eyes somehow piss me off. Watercolour nicely fit the theme of the show tho.

I thought the watercolor art was quite nice, but it's another story if you're referring to the character designs (i.e. how their noses are unnaturally far away from their mouths).

NGNL was disgusting - tried way too hard to get away with child nudity and ofc borderline nudity of the female gender and females only ofc.
Mekaku City Actors was decent
Jojo was decent
Hunter x Hunter was amazing

That's about it for me.

I try not to generally drop animes and watch them through but it screws me over in the end due to the pain.

Marathoned Nanana's Buried Treasure and I honestly thought it was pretty good during the middle of the series but near and during the end I just... >.< </3 o.o
Blade and Soul that random 13th epi, I have no idea why I thought it was gonna be good

As for the best of the season probably "no game no life" <3. A bit shocked that no one mentioned "haikyuu!" yet its pretty decent for a sports anime about volleyball, and probably the 2nd best in my opinion of this year's spring 2014 anime. Its still airing however, its going to stop at 25 episodes, episode 13 comes out tomorrow .

Just finished watching the last episode of Blade & Soul, and that was atrocious.

Before even watching the first episode, you'd think that because B&S is a rather popular MMORPG, the anime would be about an MMORPG. It wasn't and that's exactly why it was so terrible. The 0/10 cast and story didn't help the anime either. I know I call SAO bad, but at least it had quality A-1 budget backing it up; B&S had absolutely nothing. Nothing about the anime was good or even remotely decent -- even the OP + CG ED were awful.

true i never expected much to happen between the two and never expected much progress and at least it was realistic in a sense and they DID show some progress at least
i think the show is really a hit or miss for most ppl, and if theyre ok with the characters even tho i thought they got repetitive after a bit (shiro being M, mayumi lonely without a BF) i think the show had a few clever jokes here and there

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Plenair calls 99% of anime crap and he likes to voice his opinion on just about everything anime related lol.

Considering I dropped all of the truly bad ones, the worst one that I finished (or will finish) is Black Bullet. It's enjoyable, sure. But man, it's so horribly put together.

Overall I was pretty disappointed with the season.
Brynhildr could have been infinitely better if they actually followed the manga. Like, everything that happened. I don't know who decided to adapt 100+ chapters into a 13 episode season. Boggles the mind.
Knights of Sidonia was the surprise hit for me. Outstanding, and followed the manga quite nicely.
Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou and One Week Friends were both solid and cute in their own ways.
M3 has been promising. I think. It's an odd one. Looking forward to the rest.
Mahouka has been the SAO of the season. Therefore, good.

Everything else was just... either "meh" or just ok.

The people behind Brynhildr and Black Bullet really got distracted, so that was disappointing.
Mekakucity Actors did not exactly meet my humble expectations...
Akuma no Riddle fell off a cliff and died at the second episode because everything became too darn predictable.
Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou was honestly not that bad... I don't get half of the hate directed towards it.
Isshuukan Friends was far too slow paced. Although I do understand that it should run at a slower-than-average pace, it took it too far.
I didn't find Mahouka as bad as people say it was, but it definitely wasn't something praiseworthy. Such a shame, considering that it did seem promising at the start.

It's not bad, it's pretty entertaining.

Akuma no Riddle, Black Bullet, Blade and Soul, Escha & Logy no Atelier Tasogare no Sora no Renkinjutsushi, Hitsugi no Chaika, Isshuukan Friends, and Selector Infected WIXOSS were all terrible imo
Baby Steps is nothing compared to Prince of Tennis; Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou, Gokukoku no Brynhildr, Mekaku City Actors, and No Game No Life were decent
didnt bother watching the ping pong anime bc the art was a huge turn off </3

Chaika for eyebrows.
Black Bullet for loli.
Akuma No Riddle for disappointing yuri
NGNL for putrid fanservice and ecchi
Brynhildr for unfitting OP songs
Mekaku for head tilts

Really got annoyed that Hase and Kaori didn't actually get together, but I guess the writers stuck with the whole "friendship" theme right till the very end. Still, I loved the anime.

Anyway, Black Bullet was one I hate myself for watching. Pacing was absolutely horrible, "apocalypse" story was redundant, and the majority of the characters plain out sucked.

the only things i finished were Ping Pong (AOTS/AOTY) and Chaika, and i'm current on JoJo and Mushishi.
nothing else had me looking forward week-to-week, so i'd often forget to watch and fall behind. at this point i'd still like to finish Cpt Earth and maybe try Mekaku (god damn I do not like the source or overuse of Shibo-ism), but that's it.

don't have many other thoughts bc there seems to have been some perfectly fine stuff i didn't even try this season. Nanana was a pretty big disappointment that got dropped hard tho.

Black Bullet. It was awful. I was hoping for it to get better but it kept disappointing. Then I read the manga and was further put to tears and agony on how bad it was.
You can actually judge anime by their cover and their synopsis and be right most of the time. Besides, those two shows legitimately were crap.

Anyways OT: I haven't actually watched any bad show to the end yet just because I either got so bored or so frustrated that I just dropped most things. But if I had to name two crappy shows that I probably will end up finishing, it'll be Brynhildr and NGNL just to see what kind of asspulls they will perform.

Best show for me though was Ping Pong, and I'd have to say it's probably been the best "recent" show I've seen since Summer 2013. JoJo S2 is a second because honestly it is a tiny bit underwhelming compared to the first season, but I still have high hopes for it since there's a long way to go.
I don't think it's right to judge anime without even watching it. That being said, Ping pong was an amazing coming of age story that was different. However, NGNL definitely had a lot of hype behind it but it was good enough to somewhat justify it so I wouldn't say it's crap at all. Brynhildr I dropped after the second episode because I would rather read the manga.

Black Bullet and Blade & Soul. I had to force myself to watch Black Bullet and see why some people praised it so much. Heck, it was like SAO all over again, cheap bad writing LN crap and people still buy it. And as for Blade & Soul, I just wanted to see some chest.

The only 2 series that were good and I truly enjoyed every episode of it this season were Ping Pong The Animation (AOTS), and Sidonia no Kishi. They both deserve more recognition, but since basil is full of crap taste there's nothing I can do.

Not mentioning Mushishi and Jojo because they got their fame with their previous season.

It would have been Black Bullet or Date A Live 2 (watching season 1 was torture in itself), but I ended up dropping both of them within the first episode. Of the other 6 anime I actually followed during the spring season, it's really hard to say. I think it would come down to either Love Live 2 or NGNL as the worst I've been watching, and I watched both as guilty pleasures.
