For all those who want BasilMobile.Time to think out the box
Hey guys, I have seen quite a few threads on people moaning about the need for a BasilMobile or something silly along those lines. Please start thinking outside the box
Since you don't, I'll do it for you. Go to Android Market and download Opera Mini, and/or go to www.opera.com (from your mobile OBVIOUSLY) and download it from there.
After you have downloaded it, you can put Basil as one of the bookmarks, so it will be in one of those little thumbnail thingies whenever you open up Opera.
Then, you go to the "Settings" and say "On" for "Mobile View".
There you go. Basilmarket on mobile. Genius isn't it?
I'm sure you won't need to make a thread about how to use it after that, right?
yea people with moderately big fingers have a hard time clicking on interesting threads ill try opera mini on my g2 later
Hmmm, I'm using the Desire HD, and the updated version of Mini actually zooms in automatically when the hyperlink you need to click is small, like the page numbers on threads or something. But try it.
@jonatan yea, my phone is similar to the iPhone 4, so its probably the same. For some reason, I prefer using Basil on my phone D;
@Zuzzy:
It's possible to browse the site normally but as I said, it's inconvenient.
Browse to basil on the phone -> zoom -> zoom -> zoom some more -> wops, wrong link -> back -> mind blown -> headache -> goes to comp -> relief
Also, I find the mobile version more user friendly after testing both.
You can put basil on the homescreen also but that's not the problem. The problem is that it's really inconvenient to browse the site normally with a mobile device.
Nein. I use Basil everyday on my phone. If you try my method, its actually quite user friendly to use.
Of course, it depends also on what phone you are using.

Winning.
But to add structure to my post, there's seriously no need for Basil to have a mobile version. Sure, it's tedious to zoom in and out every time so you can press a button, but it's not hard at all. People need to get over it.
