Mage

what about magicians is it that you guys like so much?

I've always stuck with warriors because they seem to have a high survivability rate, good damage, and not many skills that take up tons of room on the keyboard, so I've never really played mages, except lumino, and i was wondering what is it that you guys like so much about them?

I've always had a fondness for magic based characters. But the main thing is teleport. <3

I just have the most fun with my Bishop, or any mage for that matter.
It's hard explain, it just feels so natural.

The colour blue with every single attack. Seriously, that's like, unique to I/L mages atm. Lumi have purple/black which ruins their blue, other classes have red/orange, again, ruining their perfect blue spam, and soon to be Dawn Warriors will be using orange too.

What i like about mages is that they're not any of the following :

Thief
Bowman
Pirate
F3

Used to be a mage fan. I dropped the class all together though because aside of battle mages/ f/ps (their unique play style is intriguing I'll admit), and bishops (the support class), it seems as though all other mage classes mob very efficiently but lack bossing capabilities...

Every new mage class that is released seems to have a one up mob skill of previous mage casses i/ls = the IT explorer mober < evan (that has blaze a chain lightning like skill and flame wheel with it's "revolutionary range" at the time of its release) < *skip battle mages given they were introduced as supporters and are now top tier attackers* < luminous = its new version of chain lightning makes all other mage mob skills obsolete <*skip kanna given they are the equivilent of a jett as an extra class that another ms came out with when we got jetts with more useful skills*

%Int is cheapest at the moment
Except for %mp, %def, %mdef, %accuracy, %avoid, %hands, %hair, and %PostTooShort

Before big bang, they were like the easiest class to train and they were powerful too.

I feel your pain. In pre-BB, I was always mistaken for a cleric until one person in the party said, "Hey this one ain't a cleric!"

Well really I started out as an archer in Broa but I got lonely and moved to Windia with my sibling as a mage. The class seemed unique to me at the time plus the skills were beneficial to both parties and monsters. (Unless you were a F/P mage pre-BB )
They had overall good dmg before BB since no cooldowns on ultimates. (I remember Hene hunting ground full of Genesis, Blizzard, or Meteor Shower.) <3

With elemental reset, mages are the only class who can practically hit full damage on bosses who make everyone else hit half (Hilla, Root Abyss, Dark Soul, etc)

Battlemage is the most "warrior-like" mage class. So them?
Sorry OT: My first mage was a battlemage and I always went back to %int classes.

Mage skills tend to be more interesting and original than the other classes' skills. You can only do so much with Warriors and Archers, since they're stuck with a few specific weapons and playstyles.
High survivability rate (ERMAGERD SOMEONE ELSE USES THAT WORD BESIDES ME! <3 ) due to Several thousand HP + Magic Guard.
This is arguable since we have next to nothing in terms of avoidability or status resistance.
When it comes to just raw damage, yeah, but when it comes to bossing, I'd disagree.

Mages playstyle. Not including Battle mage -
they play in a mid range... Different effects, lots of buffs, and power ups.

Mages:
High survivability rate (ERMAGERD SOMEONE ELSE USES THAT WORD BESIDES ME! <3 ) due to Several thousand HP + Magic Guard.
Nice Damage (Extremely before big bang when ultimates were spammable)
Far-ranged for the most part. (Just we can tank up-close due to high survivability)
Just overall fun.
