Need help with engineering math. Engineers of basil help Heya guys. The question is as follows: An object with dimensions of height 14mm and width of 32 mm undergoes a four point bending test. What is the maximum deflection if the object is made of steel? Now I'm pretty sure this is impossible to solve unless we are given a load force right? My friend got asked this question and I have no idea how to solve it. He told me this is all he was given but I'm almost convinced you need a force to calculate this question. I'm actually confused because he told me the answer is a number.
