Damn I just realized

the central/southern americans like Mexicans, el salvadorians, and etc are respectable people. I mean you got a 19 y/o mom trying to cross multiple dangerous borders, risking sexual abuse, murder, and death just to get to the USA and work on the farm land for 16 hrs a day. Then she goes to a tiny room full of other respectable people and repeat the cycle for 20 years just to hear some Americans such as Donald Trump say some awful comments on mexicans. You may disagree on this but man you gotta respect these people. Goddamn i just realized this while im just sitting in my dorm studying.

tbh who even takes trump seriously[/quote]

He gets a lot of hype for being well, donald trump. He's a popular figure. It's the equivalent to Brad Pitt running for president...Celebrities just dont mesh into the political sphere when it comes to actual offices of election.

I give the man credit for his lack of political correctness though. Political correctness is complete bs and has no place in this country.
Just because someone is offended doesn't make them right and doesn't mean you need to stop talking.

But besides that, and his business sense....there's not much else.

Don't forget guys....you're citizens of humanity first, and citizens of your country only by accidental nature.

I personally, used to be a hardcore republican/conservative. Though as i've grown up and experienced more things, i've realized not everything is just this side or that side. There is a lot more to it and not every issue is just black or white.

I was reading over some of the posts above, and while yes many of these illegal immigrant kids tend to not do well, before I jump to the conclusion that they don't care or aren't smart, I try to first place myself in their shoes as best as possible, just as a sociologist would.

Many of these kids of illegal immigrant backgrounds live in poverty and come from low income households as is expected as their parents are illegals. Needless to say, because of this, many grow up in low income neighborhoods going to inner city schools that lack severe funding or proper teacher education to succeed. Not only this, but they themselves do not have the proper resources, educational tools, or education support at their disposal the way someone else would. So they are already at a disadvantage. Their family can barely afford life as it is, and once the kid graduates high school and it's time for college, many realize that they just cannot afford college, and therefore either flounder at a community college for years or go straight into the work force to try and support themselves and their families.

Realistically, I cannot fault a child who was born in the USA to illegal immigrant parents. That kid had nothing to do with it. Are you really going to deport a kid who spent his whole life in America from Day 1 until 18 years old, who knows nothing but the American way, who barely knows any spanish, back to Mexico or whichever other country he came from? Does that really make any sense?

At one point or another....all of you guys were by way of immigrant families.

So while I am still a conservative and I believe in controlling our borders, I also am willing to put myself in these families shoes first before being an ignorant conservative.

It truly bothers me that the political party I am "affiliated" with is known as the rich white man's party. It is why we lose elections, because we are seen as non compassionate towards those of minority. Whether true or untrue...depiction is everything, and as long as there are conservatives that think like Trump and are so far one sided....we wil always be seen as the party for the rich and the white.

@sirkibblex2: well how else can they get here LEGALLY unless you are from first world trying to immigrate. It's so hard to get a residency status when you're a 3rd world person

@pinatacastle: well I'm asian and why can't people just be appreciative and understanding. Can't even imagine me born in some poverty country where i can only eat some trash. Then i hear that USA has some food for me and my family so i will risk my life just to get there.
@sirkibblesx2: Of course there are those who are like that but im just saying that why can't we human beings just be more appreciative instead of just attacking them critically all the time. It's like damn you're not sorry for that 40 y/o el salvadorian mama who works like 16 hrs a day just to give all her money back to her 8 year old son in el salvador who is just looking for love?

If you lived in a third world country, would you think of the same words you want to say right now?

Yep, they go through hell in order to get a better life for their children only to have disgusting people like Trump criticize and belittle them.
