Anyone wanna help me with algebra word problems?
I've been stuck on this for a heck of a long time now and I'm beginning to feel pretty stupid. Can someone walk me through this word problem? (Intermediate algebra)
1) Success percentage is number of successes divided by number of attempts. A basketball player has made 346 out of 571 free throw attempts (60.6% successful) and then decides to shoot right-handed instead of left-handed. If he averages 75% success in the future, how many attempts will it take to bring his success percentage up to 70% for the full career?
Thanks guys =]

Here's what I got:
(346+0.75x)/(571+x) = 0.7
Numerator is 0.75x since 75% success rate in future.
Solve for x.
I think you do what the first guy said
Im not quite sure about the answer but what I do know is that the square root of sixty nine is eight-something right?
(346+3x)/(571+4x) = 0.70
n=7x
solve for n
i think
keep adding 3 to the numerator and 4 to the denominator till u get 70%
