Favorite movies:

Spirited Away: all time favorite, a real masterpiece.
Wolf of Wallstreet: Leo's high class acting, very funny, inspirational and motivating movie, always rewatch some scenes before I hit the day
Inception: really great special effects, very likeable cast and again the top notch acting of Leo
The Departed: really monotone the first half, but gets really intense. Was sitting at the edge of my seat during the movie. And ofcourse Leo's performance.
Blood Diamond: Leo really sliced with this movie, his acting was out of this world. The ending really got me.

Least favorite:

Cant name much, but Avengers and Batman come into my mind. Love movies with super powers, special effects and big fights, but Avengers was soooo boring and the supposed jokes were extremely lame. Batman is just overrated.

Minions made an estimated $750M worldwide gross within 2 weeks of opening

think about that

Favorite movie of all time is Princess Mononoke.

Inception might be second. I'd have to juggle it with Inside Out, which I just saw recently. Very different movies. Can't tell which one I enjoyed more.

Jurassic World was an awful mess encumbered by product placement
Tomorrowland had some charm going for it, but ultimately gets stuck up its own ass with its didactic tone and pandering 'ungh green technology will save us' shots
Home was bad
San Andreas was bad but really fun to riff on
Get Hard was a boring grab bag of genital jokes
Mad Max: Fury Road was a blast

my favorite movies are Cocteau's La Belle et la Bete and Orpheus, Fincher's The Social Network, and lately I've really come around to thinking that Superbad perfectly encapsulated youth culture when it came out

Contrary to previous posters, i found Mad Max boring, but yea the girl power thingy is great.
Ant Man was like most marvel movies, good.
I think one of my fav movies would be Girl Most Likely or Imogene (it has 2 titles i think?). I just love how everything in her life flipped 180. Who she thought were nice are actually rotten people, and the ones she loathed were the ones who stood by her. I could relate so thats why its one of my favs.
Jurassic World was great but very cliche.
Yea Gone Girl's great, never saw a movie like that before .-.
Saw Minions, theyre adorable but a lot of people hate them lool

Ant-Man was one of those movies that I thought would be bad until I actually watched it.
I might watch the new Mission Impossible. Or maybe not.
I don't have a thing for Christopher Nolan's works, unlike most people I know.
I like some Miyazaki films. Especially Kiki and Totoro.

I don't have a favourite movie and I don't think I ever will.

This summer, I've seen Tomorrowland and Pitch Perfect 2, both of which I enjoyed but not overly so. I had too high of expectations for PP2 and feel like it followed the same formatting of the first one. Absolutely LOVED the Riff Off scene though.

I've been looking forward to seeing the newest Avengers and Minions.

Favorite movie (as of right now) is the 2005 version of Pride and Prejudice. Pretty much love the whole cast, especially Mr. Darcy and Mrs. Bennett. Also adore Hitch, iRobot, The Wedding Planner, The Internship, Dodgeball, and pretty much any Marvel movie I've seen because they have some of the funniest lines.

Wolf children is such a good film, I ended up crying. I don't usually watch anime or Japanese animations so I wasn't intrigued but holy cow that film was great.
everyone should watch it.
My favorite movie is either What's Up Tiger Lily? because it's hilarious or Frozen because it's great. Also virtually anything by Studio Ghibli or Pixar is outstanding (excluding Cars 2).
The most recent film I watched was Inside Out and it was amazing.
I actually don't watch all that many movies because I get distracted but I would love some ideas, so this thread is nice I'm going to check some of these out.
Glad you enjoy this thread! I hope more people provide their experiences . Anyways, Inside Out was awesome.

I watched Mission Impossible last Wednesday. Gotta say I liked it quite a lot. Especially for a movie series I hadn't watched before. Though to be fair I really just wanted to see it because of Simon Pegg.

Watched Ant-man on Tuesday and I went in without any real expectations. My friend joined me and she really only went for the Steve and Bucky bit. I gotta say it was incredibly funny and nicely filmed and a lot better than we both expected it to be. It's definitely up there with my favourite Marvel films.

Watched Inside Out on Monday. It was different for a Pixar film although I did feel like they kind of chickened out a little. I felt like they could have gone a lot deeper by addressing mental issues but I guess it's really still just a Pixar movie and they can't exactly do that. Which is fair enough. It was still good.

Can't recall when I saw Jurassic world but I liked it. The ending scene was a bit "argh" because of the romance which was treated better throughout the film.

Saw Mad Max somewhere before summer but I guess it's still pretty recent. Incredible film. Just incredible.

Currently looking forward to Civil War and the final THG film. Might go see Paper Towns because my friend really wants to see it and because she told me the female character was interesting, which I'm kind of down for even though I'm not too fond of John Green novels (Although I liked Looking for Alaska, I think his novels don't exactly describe how younger people truly act). The new Sherlock film with Sir Ian Mckellen looks good too. Same for Fantastic 4. I'm not too fond of the F4 franchise but this movie looks alright.
