When you wash your hands, do you turn the faucet on hot or cold?

well if my hands are dirty, i either suck on my fingers like when i'm done going to the washroom or i stick my hands in my pants, like after eating
You're supposed to do hot at first and then cold, but I just do it cold.
Hot and then when it gets too hot, warm.
