For me iots all about info. But this site has lost its urnety on that topi long ago. I (but thats just me) find it odd that MrBasil himself doesnt join this nice thread. If i was MrBasil i most certainly would react. Anyone here who knows MrBasil ?
I still come and check out some stories here and there. I'm just not a huge fan of bzl since it seems more general versus being maple focused. And I'm sure there's still some people who come back here for similar reasons.
In terms of this site being used for what it was originally, it'll never go back to that. This site used to be the goto for auctions in game. It worked pretty well until (I don't know the real reason) it just stopped working. Then it got removed.
Then the revamp to look similar to bzl, but this site still holds a forum style setup. Which is more pleasing for me to browse through. Even if it's just gramps posting "How do I finish the Arkarium prequest" 10 times. It's still easier for me to navigate than bzl.
For me, this site could close and it wouldn't affect me too much. I currently use Discord and check some posts in reddit for most of the maple stuff. However, as long as this site exists I'll still come and check out what people have to say about their maple experience. I don't think it's necessarily the best option for us to say close this site down, that's still up to mb to decide and to communicate that to us. As @Shiraokajinja said, if the site stops getting traffic it'll eventually close on it's own. By making a thread and getting posts that says close this site down, ironically on paper it's showing that hey this site is still being used.
@ecarina: This is way beyond that anymore. Bringing the old layout will not fix anything at this rate, which is why Mr.B don't even bothered to change it or do what he said on one of his "feedback" thread. Basil is already dead, and all we have now is some moths / crows / vultures circling around the dead body that doesn't have a proper graveyard. Sleepywood was closed knowing its end, Southperry still has that extraction scenes, hidden street somewhat served as a database which is more completed than BasilMarket or any other site out there. And what do we have for BasilMarket? "Please visit BZL lul".
@beefly: pretty good, i remember first time i beat queen and clown i had about that, sure i had much more boss damage but this was pre-5th job i beat chicken much later because i had trouble learning him, vellum will need more funds than that probably

He does not need to explicitly close it; rather it would eventual expire when there is no more traffic and the server's hosting resources are reclaimed without being started on another. By dignity, do you mean gracefully, where it is explicitly posted when the website reaches end of life?
@beefly: This is like a failed "upgraded" theme park with lots of trash and wild grass grown on it now due to the fact that the authority gives no sh!t about feedbacks of the customers and eventually lost 99% of them and the authority refused to demolish it or do something about it to put the land for some good use. It is frigging disgusting and disappointing. Sometimes the authority pop up and say hi and spit out some petty political manifestos which of course did not turned out to be a promise after all. The best part is that the political manifesto is still advertised. How ridiculous can that be? And guess what, that frigging authority just doesn't care now and stay silence. The best kind of response, silent treatment! Even the moderators are gone now too!
@endurance: Fun fact, @mrbasil is frigging not going to bring it back. Even diamond can not match his stubbornness now.
In an attempt to leave this site I deleted my avatars and half my screens. (the other half is for other people so I'm sure they'd appreciate it if I didn't delete them)

@vipdabes: Mr. Basil did this terrible redesign and refuses to listen to criticism, which makes people bitter.

@vivabasura: I only did 2/5 of chaos von bon's HP before I failed.
But my boss % is really low so I expected that.
buuut I did trio(?) Czak with a Hero with 800k and an I/L with 160k range who both died mid battle.
