Does Nexon even realise
That they've completely ruined all interest in root abyss by removing the portal? It's now become yet another niche boss area for high level solos and "for the lulz" guild runs. That's not inherently a bad thing, but considering the fact that these were arguably the most interesting bosses (in terms of gameplay mechanisms), it's a real shame to see them going to waste. I'm currently at ch1 root abyss (in Scania no less) and there's one guy here who's afk, when just yesterday we'd see droves of people looking for groups. I usually wouldn't care about this, but it's the fact that these bosses are actually difficult and not just high health high damage pseudo-difficult bosses.

The portal imo was only there so you would get used to it. I actually EXPECTED them to remove it at some point. Don't you have to travel to Pink Bean, Empress, Zakum, Horntail, MAgnus, etc, etc. What makes you think Root Abyss is going to be any different, especially considering they will be housing the strongest chaos monsters.
What the cufk. That's just outright laziness if you can't walk there. Less noobs looting what they don't deserve is fine by me though.

Being lazy is part of human nature. That being said, while I disagree with catering to laziness, I DO disagree with adding quality of life issues. We have Dimensional Mirror for PQs and some solo ventures (including the new evo rooms), so why not Root Abyss? What makes it worse is that it's very much out of the way for higher level players; what business (beside henehoeing) does a player above level 100 really have on vic? Job advances and porting to Pantheon are the only things I can think of, the former being unlikely given that newer classes have automatic job advances..

They didn't completely ruin it. I still make the effort to walk to Sleepywood because I want my daily coins for the boxes.
Find some friends to duo with you instead of relying on channel 1.
Hopefully the portal for RA comes back after this event passes.

I still see quite a few people go. I myself go everyday and this isn't going to change that, of course a perm hyper tele rock helps that.
I do think it is an error that the icon was removed though and should/will be brought back.
