in most cases, the hero always ends up winning and i rather be a winner, so i'll be the hero.

How has no one said this?
You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

But I don't know, villains in video games always have cooler stuff and look cooler but in real life I would probably be a hero. Most people (besides the Joker) don't KNOW they're the villain, or think they are the hero but are the villain to everyone else.

Villain.
Heroes are always expected to come out on top.
So as a villain, if I don't succeed it's expected of me but if I do happen to succeed, it's a big freaking deal. While it's the reverse for heroes.

A villain turned hero.

A villain turned hero is always forgiven, and is "cool." A hero turned villain is frowned upon and dies a villain.

I could also go for a Jekyll and Hyde scenario.

Villain. They get cool gadgets. Heroes are overrated. Villains are sometimes misunderstood.

Hero with privileges to kill criminals because keeping them "prisoner" is honestly stupid unless we want information out of them.

Villian.
Cause a villian can be a hero even if they are unrewarded.

Heroes will end up going rogue sooner or later.

I'd be a villain and just hang out in my evil mansion of evil, I wouldn't really do anything other than act menacing. I know it kinda defeats the purpose but if I picked hero I'd have to go *ughhh* save people.

Oi, me'n this guy, we think alike ^

I always play villains in video games, (It's so much fun in games like Deus Ex. Kill everyone after you're done with their missions and whatnot. Or before, and just steal the money that they were going to give you.), but in reality, I'd much rather be the good guy. But not overly 'I can't break the rules' good, good as in I'd break rules to be on the winning side.

In most good/evil video games I usually really enjoy being evil. But at the same time, being evil usually makes you look butt ugly (star wars), and villains usually backstab each other, and that would be annoying to always have to watch your back.

So, I'll go with hero. At least that way I don't have to worry about being betrayed, and I can smack talk stupid villains lol.
