favourite bands and artists

so... what musical artists do you love? i know there's another music thread around somewhere, but hopefully this will be more of a discuss thread.. x_x

i love anr, they're my favourite indie band. i stumbled upon them about 7 years back while watching jersey shore. my favourite song by them is 2k3012, but i also love dances when, dark water and digital world. highly recommend to any indie lovers, i can guarantee you'll at least be interested.

favourite pop musician is easily rihanna. loved her ever since i was about 13. way too many good memories. favourite songs are shut up and drive, please don't stop the music and disturbia, but all of her music is so good, even the new stuff that pretty much every song is my favourite one. i also love gwen, iggy, gaga, lana, etc.

rock, punk, metal, i love nirvana, nine inch nails, soundgarden, audioslave, sex pistols metallica, the killers (although they're more pop), and pendulum (although they're more electronic)

i also love vocaloid, but usually the more indie or electronica vocaloid, im not a huge fan of the more theatrical stuff although i love the videos

current bands im obsessesed with are snakadaktal, get people, gardens & villa, grimes

im also listening to brian farray and david bowie, and.. u2, although i predict im probably going to be over u2 soon. beautiful day gmh but all their other stuff is kinda crep imo

my knowledge of bands is pretty generic so im hoping that some alternative cool cats share some great bands c: (i also love generic stuff, so im searching errytin here on spotify)

..
..

...waits for someone to say modest mouse (id be surprised if someone said the mars volta)

uh.
i dont actually have a concrete favorite band. i listen to practically anything, like cumbias, classical, metal, movie themes, video game music, funk, rap, oldies, rancheras, etc. as long as the music doesnt irritate me, i'll listen to it.

Urban Zakapa (All their songs I love/Only artist I listen to now LOL)
Joe Hisashi (Merry go round of life is my favorite)
Jin Bora (I really like the way plays jazz piano https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvBGgL-eLSc)
The cinematic orchestra (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqoANESQ4cQ)
Yiruma (He influenced the kind of genre I usually use to make music which is new age. Although I'm trying to learn jazz piano now his music still help me a lot)
Brian Crain (He reminds me a lot of yiruma except his songs are more emotional and I used to always listen to his version of moonlight which Yiruma also had a version of)

I used to listen to EDM a lot but not anymore. Urban Zakapa is the only artist to put a smile on my face and lift up my spirits c:

and Dancing Barefoot.

She writes some of the best lyrics I've ever heard.
