English Language & Composition AP was easy. But yeah like some have said above there's a difference between English Lang & Comp AP and English Lit & Comp AP. I'm not taking Lit because it's just way too much work at our school.

@setget is correct about the diff between the englishes

@setget: I went to a private, all-male Catholic school where grade inflation was the norm.
AP English Lit or Lang?

Both were fine.

For AP Lit senior year, we literally spent 6 months on doing group work for The Great Gatsby.
AP lit had great gatsby? That's a junior level reading thing in my school.

AP lang is considered the hell class at my school because the teacher assigns 3 essays per week. Ap lit was considered hard but focused more on themes and how you interpret the book vs just writing about it.

AP enviro was horrible for me because I hated the teacher. He wouldn't make correct tests. They were full of errors and opinions vs what factual evidence we have. The topics were easy like any other science class though, just memorize definitions and explain what graphs are saying.

AP Lit was super easy if you're a decent writer and can analyze poems and non-fiction.
I got a 4 on it without putting in too much effort.

AP Language was easier in my opinion but same overall concept.
Can't speak for AP enviro tho, never took it

I heard that AP environmental science is the easiest AP. Heck, even freshman were getting 5's on the test for it. I'm taking AP Biology Ehe
Which area do you guys live in ? I'm from the Bay Area

AP Environmental is supposed to be the easiest AP class.
AP Lang and Lit were hard at my school, apparently, but I didn't take them. At the beginning of sophomore I thought I would take them, but I ended up not.

we call APES AP Easy Science here.

As for AP Lit, i didn't take it, and for AP Lang, I got a 5. I heard Lit is harder in terms of the test though. At our school though, AP Language is a much harder class than AP Lit, which is ironic.

APES is easy as a course. the test is challenging however, because of how the AP tests are curved. i took it my senior year with a teacher teaching the class for the first time and i got a 4 on the test. i also didn't answer one of the written response questions....i wrote a rant about how bad it was. lmao

AP Lit i got a 2, AP Lang i got a 3. it's either easy or hard for you. you really can't teach what they want you to know for the test, especially the writing portion. to be fair, i probably would've gotten a 3 on my Lit test had they not used a really obscure piece for one of the written responses.

APES is one of the easiest AP classes to take. The actual AP test for APES, although much easier than say AP Physics or AP Chem, is a challenge to get a 5 since the course covers a wide variety of topics.
There are two AP English classes (AP English Language is for juniors, AP English Literature is for seniors). I suck at English so I found both tests to be pretty hard, but if you breezed through normal/honors English in the past, it shouldn't be a problem.

APES is comparable to AP Psych in terms of easiness.
Both AP Englishes are pretty easy. Got a 5 in Language and a 4 in Literature, and Literature is notoriously pretty hard. I also wrote about Riff Raff for my free response essay for Lit.
Unfortunately my university makes all freshmen take a required writing course and you need a 5 in Lit to get credit so neither of these counted for anything worthwhile.

I liked my teacher for AP Environmental, but didn't care for the subject. I look it because we got to go to the zoo and an animal habitat, which meant free skip days. Watched a lot of documentaries. The free response questions were quite the curve ball so I did pretty bad. Needed some math that I wasn't expecting/was really rusty on. My major doesn't use the credit for anything so I ended up taking the exam for nothing.

AP English is split into Language and Composition or Literature so I'm not sure which one you mean. Both contain lots of essays but L/C is more rhetoric (what style does the author use in this passage to convey what message) while Literature takes the bigger picture of a text. Ironically, while I liked the material of Literature more (except for those awful poems and you do get TONS of information you never cared to know about poems), I did better in L/C simply because I liked my teacher more. L/C exam gave me 6 hours worth of college credit which was amazing.

it depends on the teacher, the subject themselves are manageable
people only thing it's hard because it's labeled "AP" if regular classes had as much work as AP classes people would just consider it the norm

My experience with AP Enviro was horrible because I strongly dislike science classes of any sort. If you like nature and its processes, I think you might like it. AP English isn't too bad if you're okay with essays and reading.
