The only rule I follow afk or not is if you can't clear the map you don't own anything. Sharing that map is fine and people need to get over it if someone comes in because the spawn rate is so high staying on 1 side is actually faster with another attacker not in your party. Now if you can clear the whole map before respawn it's all yours.

i don't bother to do anything and cc until i find an empty map. if i can't sucks for me i have to find a different spot

Hmm, the new person who enters the map should at least ask if th other is active or not. If there's no reply, then have fun! Also, why can't you guys just share maps? You're already getting 4 time more exp than normal, so what's wrong with splitting it in half?

People afk at the ledge of twilight perion all the time before 2x and for the most part people respect that. When I do it myself I'm always semi afk and watching my screen to see if anyone starts attacking. For the most part I just start moving again and the other person leaves. It's fine if people want a bit of exp before 2x, but I am claiming the map for 2x and will ks anyone who wants to take it.

If someone for full on afk for a long period of time though it's not fair of them to claim a map. This is more true for more popular and low level maps.

If they aren't attacking at all then yes, if they get angry then they're just spoiled children that think they can take what they want. If they're going to take a map they should at least be attacking, they don't have to be hard out grinding but at least doing something to show that they're busy or going to be busy training.

If they out damage you then I don't see a point in trying to get it back

If you come back and someone has already started killing then you don't "own" the map anymore, it's theirs.

and whoever backs out first is the obvious loser

The worst is the lack of terrain park etiquette. I hate nothing more than going into a jump, box, or rail on my board when some a$$hole skier comes bumping in front of me, close enough for me to knock him over, and blocks my view of the attraction so I have to go around it ~_~

I usually wait 5 to 10minutes (Any map) before I start killing. Just my personal opinion / Experience

Since you're idle and not doing anything then yes.
