Prom season

Hey guys, if you're a senior in high school like I am then you know that prom is coming soon! But you might be having trouble coming up with either a "wow" promposal or finding a date. In my case.. I'm kinda having trouble coming up with a promposal that incorporates with what she likes.. can you guys give me any ideas that incorporates UP or Disney related themes? Any help is very much appreciated!

@Gyumaru no offense, but learn to read. He sang a Coldplay song.I was saying that I would've played Last Rites because that's the only love song I know.
Mary Jane isn't a love song really but it's one of my top 5 probably.

@GoldenBow if she was your girlfriend already why teh eff you need to do something like that? Geez. I hope I don't get a girl who only approves of stuff like that.

@fradddd : DAMN LOL that was epic from your bro, he should have put his fingers in his nose and he could have the same exact voice as Dave, wich mean the girl will instantly fall in love, he could have played Mary Jane tho, much more creepy and sexy

I had a buddy help me with this one. I planned out this whole thing and practiced it a few time before actually doing it.
I took 187 candles, put them all in jars, and spelled out "Prom?" With them. I placed them in a beautiful field with a hill on one side, and right behind the other side behind the candles was a gorgeous lake. I spelled it out and left to pick up my girlfriend, and timed it so I texted my friend to light them all so when we walked up over the hill they'd all be lit. The friend is a really good photographer who took pictures of it all too. The sunset was perfectly dark enough to be able to easily see the candles, while still giving a nice view. Overall worth it and. It blew her away.
I find these threads funny because desperate people like you can't even come up with your own ideas and try way too hard to be romantic.
@Ecliptic:
-finding a girl? easy
-being afraid to ask? true
-ending up with a girl who doesn't just want attention? duh. How would going out with someone like me bring them attention?

@fradddd: Wait, you don't like promposals? It seems like just the opposite!

Yeah, I don't get why couples who have been together forever need some huge elaborate scheme. You've been together for 2+ years and still need him to spend a ton of money/do the most obscene thing to know that he likes being with you? How romantic! I'm pretty sure there's some competition among all the cheerleaders as to which of their football boyfriends can have the biggest promposal ever.

Okay, I absolutely loved your neighborhood park description. I don't get the big deal on roses. There's 984664614 other flowers and everyone picks roses. How unique.

My brother's girlfriend (who was a senior in high school while he was in college) just told him "Hey, be free on x date cause you're going to be my prom date". Just simple, easy, and no one's wallet cried.

Maybe you'll find a girl who will think that song is romantic but when you do, you have to report it back here!

@maplerescue: yeah, and I even see people who have ALREADY BEEN DATING do these outrageous promposals! That's even worse.

And every time someone posts one of Facebook it's like the guy who asked the girl plucked a bunch of rose petals, broke into the girl's house, and spelled out the word "PROM?" with rose petals or whatever the hell else they found in their neighborhood park.

Alas, even my brother conformed. Okay, it wasn't that outrageous, but he played guitar and sung a song (that had nothing to do with prom and the girl probably didn't even know) to her at her front door. And he doesn't sing. It was nice and all and it worked but I am not doing that because the only "romantic" song I know is "Last Rites/Loved to Deth" by Megadeth, which is about about a guy killing a girl so no one else can have her.

Anyway...you can tell I don't like this.
God dammit.

Special promposals are so freakin' dumb. I already have trouble in life finding a girl, and asking her out (which is why I never have). Why the hell do I need to go through MORE trouble and have some elaborate crap-storm of a promposal just so she can regurgitate her easily predictable "YES!"
I've found that a lot of girls actually don't like elaborate "promposals". My friend got asked by the guy buying her favorite Starbucks drink and writing "Prom?" on the cup. Another guy gave her 5 cupcakes and together with the icing, it spelled out "Prom?".

So I guess, depending on the girl, you won't need some crazy promposal. Personally, I think the elaborate ones are over exaggerated and puts unneeded pressure on the guy (or whoever the asker is).

Go dressed as an old man, and make her a house costume and attach balloons to her. That's UP.

That's a good idea! Prom only comes in high school and promposals are still cute no matter how many years go by.
