Stay with this job, or get another one?

Yes. So I've worked at a clothing store since December 2012, and things have been...meh. I dislike the job, but at least I'm getting paid. I was getting around 10-20 hours a week for most of this period, at $10.25 an hour.
But this past month, without warning, and without reason, I've been only getting 4 hours a week. I've asked for more, but I was refused.
So I was wondering if I should get another job
The answer should be obvious, but it isn't so for me. See, I'm moving away at the end of August, and i was wondering if I should go to the effort of getting another job, even if I'm only going to be there for a month and a half.

Not desperate for the money, but I have nothing to fill the time with. I've been just pacing and drawing occasionally.
But the thing that really bugs me, is that I have a friend who works at the same place, and who got the job at the exact same time,
He missed the entire month of June. Any shift they gave him, he wouldn't show up for it. (Not his fault, but he didn't even call and tell them)
And even with that, he's getting far more hours than I am (around 15 a week.) mad jelly.

I think you should stick with it until the end of summer.

A couple of factors to look at:
- It's the middle of summer. People usually hire at the beginning of summer or after.
- Unless you're really lucky, it will probably take at least half a month to find another job and actually start working. You'll have to take time to apply, wait for callbacks, schedule interviews, wait for more calls, go in for training, and then wait for them to give you shifts.
- Many places make newbies earn their hours.
- Your new employer probably won't be very happy about you wasting their time and resources for a one month job.
- You might have to buy new clothing if there's a uniform or if the store requires that you wear their clothing.

Doesn't seem worth the effort to find a new job for only a month. You have to take in the time to hear back from the employer, schedule the interview, and the time between then and maybe getting hired.

As much as non-solid schedules suck, I'd say just stick with it for the summer. It won't be worth your time or effort to find a new summer job halfway through summer.

Stick with it and just enjoy your newly found time off for a while. You have your whole life ahead if you want to work more.
