I used to be able to do hard mode in 2 mins and it still wasn't enough for hellux.
It depends on your dps. I think I started being able to solo it from ~3m range as a corsair. Of course you'd need 1m less for most jobs.

Hellux:
- you pretty much get 1 shot by all breath attacks
- you get one shot by the hands
- you need incredible dps and very decent control to solo
Zakum Revamp:
- you get 1 shot by its hands.. these things slap u from halfway across the map like dhalsim from street fighter
- you get 1 shot by its touch damage
- you get 1 shot by its dig underground and resurface (sorta like velium)
- you get 1 shot if you dont get on the platforms that sometimes show up
- you get 1 shot if you dont get in the cube (like get in the cube! similar to hilla)
- you pretty much need every single stackable dmg buff in the game to dps it
- absolutely no way to solo no matter how funded you think you are
1st stage:
Pretty much the same as you're used to.
Look out for Pink Breath, however. Unlike Purple Breath - this one is damn near instant death.
2nd Stage:
If you have a way of killing creeps, you're good. As a F/P mage, you're pretty settled with Slime.
Otherwise, you're gona have to climb down occasionly. This stage has WAAAAAAAYYYYYY more HP than what you are used to.
3rd Stage:
You know what's coming.

its hard unless you cap. im at 1.8~2m, and do 25m lines on Hellux as a NL. And i still struggle.
