How do you draw?

Been interested in drawing lately so how do you draw? I tried playing with Sai on my computer but I can't even get a perfect shape for a head. Can any tablet be used for drawing or are there specific tablets for those type of things?

Off topic, but looking at your language bar, are you Korean? I have a few input types though.
@djmaxaaron: you double checked windows services related to tablets?
The only thing related to Wacom was Consumer service, professional service disappeared as well
@djmaxaaron: that looks right, what's the problem? tablet isnt working? you plugged in usb and it said installing driver? restarted? tried diff usb port? under windows service make sure wintab service is running and tablet input service is running and wacom tablet service is running
The properties is missing, the original problem was that I couldn't open it and now when I removed and reinstalled, the properties part disappeared altogether. I can't change the pressure sensitivity altogether now either
you need to figure out what wacom tablet you have and download the appropriate driver

http://us.wacom.com/en/support/drivers/

then restart comp and plug in tablet and it shall work automatically.
I deleted all the existing wacom programs then reinstalled with the highlighted driver but now the preferences are gone...? What happened
You should have something called "Wacom Tablet Properties" somewhere in your computer. Be sure to install your tablet using the CD it comes with if you can't find Wacom Tablet Props.
Well I do have wacom tablet properties but I do not know what to do with it, I just bought this tablet off of a freind so no CD
@Anthorix: messing with the settings in what way, exactly? I've adjusted pressure and speed and that sort of thing, but overall I'm just pretty terrible at using a tablet lol. I tend to draw using my whole arm to move across the page and with a tablet I don't have that luxury...
By the way, how do I configure the pressure and speed for my wacom tablet? I tried drawing on SAI and it feels really off..? Do you know what I should be doing

Try to learn drawing on paper first, digital work and drawing with a tablet is really hard to get used to because of the need for hand/eye coordination.
Unless of course you can afford a thousand dollar tablet to draw on screen.

@Anthorix: I tend to draw on my bed which probably had led to some bad habits when using my tablet so..yeah probably...
When I draw on a desk things turn out slightly better

@TheZigen

5 yrs sounds like alot, so i was wonderin if sumthin was weird.

i also read people are supposed to use their whole arm.

so, with all dis info, i ask, do you need a bigger drawing area?
I get what you mean but I am trying to draw someone. I mean a square/triangle is just lines. I can't really draw circles that well. I watched https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufja0Q3U2gE this video and the guy just magically drew a perfectly circle. Is Sai a program you can get on tablets as well? I have an android tablet I could use.
you just have to practice
draw a zillion circles if you have to, spam undo if you have to
drawings just simply practice, practice, practice, there is no trick or cheat to draw perfectly instantly
and theres different ways to practice..
(if its close but not good enough you can always erase a bit and redraw, repeat)

Contrary to belief, getting and using a tablet to draw isnt as easy as it seems. I pretty much had to relearn how to draw a second time when i bought my bamboo wacom tablet.

A lot of trying and erasing. I can't free hand draw so I'm mainly using the lineart layer and editing the curves in the line.

Also the head shape he's making in that video isn't that perfect lol ( as in perfect circle). It's a combination of strokes, not just one at a time.
Specific tablet list: graphics arts tablets; tablet only for signatures.

if you're super beginner lvl 0, just try drawing simple shapes.

square, triangle, circle.

then try drawing lines, reference hatching, cross-hatching.

then combine simple shapes and make new objects, a cup can be a super detailed cylinder.

a person can be made of alot of ovals.

get what im saying?
Protip: Most things look strange without color/shading if you're going the more realistic route.
