I have both and like that Nexon has made them different enough. I don't mind NW being better at 1v1, and NLs being one of the top mobbers is pretty awesome considering we were pretty crummy in that department in the past. xD

Night lords cannot even dream to come close to night walkers in gollux. This would be night lord's worse match-up vs night walker, in fact, since Night Walkers get to use their jump attack uninterrupted.

@laurico: NWs mobbing is horrible, however if you reach higher ranges, it becomes extremely good. This is the same for NLs because we have the exact same move, Flying Stars/Bats.
30% drop and exp are the only thing really keeping NLs high in the mobbing ranks.
@Flya: 1. Name is irrelevant, haven't even seen any
2. Not many end game bosses are multiple at once. For Pierre, NWs are also getting the option of toggle bats so they can Pierre better
3. Agreed.
4. This is okay as well.
5. If you're a dedicated NL, the job change isn't much.
6. A Night Lord can do all the bosses a Night walker can, however, the Night walkers can do it at much lower ranges and a lot faster.
7. It is the original however now NW has overtaken and stolen most our old skills. So you could say NW is much more past NL like then the current NLs.
8. There's only so far mobbing is going to go, I plan on never passing 210 or 200 and many others agree. After hitting a certain level, most arent bothered to go higher and just boss or chat. NWs also have bats which are exactly like our flying stars.

I don't hate NLs, been an assassin since 07 I'm just pointing out how mediocre we are compared to the revamped NWs and how they have more utility and upgraded skills.

They fixed that awhile ago :o

Uh no?
There is a reason why Phantoms who do so as well in SDH use Showdown.
I dont know any NW that is named after Naruto or sasuke,
When vsing multiple bosses at once they are horrible,
Night Lord is a cooler name,
30% drop rate for bossing,
The ability to transfer to a dual blade or Shadower
A Night Lord can do all bosses a Night Walker can.
It is the original Throwing star thief.
You also already mentioned mobbing. which is soooo much better as a nightlord due to its skills range the flying throwing stars & also the skill has 30% Extra exp per Kill,

night Lords are universal where a NW can only 1v1 boss Faster.
I thought the shadow partner mechanic is different for the two jobs. NW's shadow partner copies the motion of the main body few seconds later. They can bypass skill animation when they time their jump landing and skill animation with the shadow partner, very different to NL's shadow partner where it just affects the main body's skill lines.

Imo, NW's quint star is like ishtars ring. You can attack at any point of movement whether jumping standing falling and such and also, jumping cancels a part of the animation allowing consecutive attacks much more faster. Same goes for NL's except no cancel of animation making it rather pointless.
@minchuzuk3: Please give some examples in which NLs are better then NW
Only thing that comes to mind is mobbing and training which isn't really that much of an advantage when NWs double our damage at the same range
The mobbing difference between NW and NL is actually huge even taking into consideration the damage difference. NW is one of the worst mobbing jobs while NL is pretty much the 3rd best one, after Lumi and DS. The exp/drop boost working even on bosses makes a noticeable difference as well.

^ i agree im a lvl 220 nl with almost capping all boss 40m on cvel. NW burst of damage is very good.

mobbing is good with exp but its not that noticeable. @ 30%

NW owns in bossing. but i love NL since the game started. so im staying with it.

@minchuzuk3: Theres a lot more, if that was all I wouldn't be so butthurt about how much better they are.
Drain, Triple Shadow Partner, Backstep, up jump, Bind, Revive, 6 star throwing move

@Buster1651: Besides mobility/drain skill, they aren't much better. NWs are mainly played for the 1v1 DPS. If NLs matched that many people would prefer it over NW.
No, that's why NWs are so much stronger than NLs. If NLs could jump attack as well, there wouldn't be any NWs around.
The extra attack speed isn't the only point that NWs up NLs.
Even if NLs could jump attack it doesn't take away the fact that NWs are still so much better in many other aspects

Are you asking if NL's can attack in mid-air? Yes, they can.
If you're asking if jumping and attacking gives NL an attack speed advantage like NW's, then the answer is no.

err can't they technically jump-attack though? Except it doesn't actually do anything for attack speed like it does with NW. Something to do with bypassing attack-animation or whatever.
