Angel Ray healing post-nerf

According to orangemushroom, the nerf to Angel Ray is:

Angel Ray: HP healed has been changed from 90% of your damage to **20% of your (or your party member’s) maximum HP**.

so I did a simple test with my guildie @fluffyrhino, the actual effect was

Angel Ray: Restore Allies' HP. HP healed has been changed from 90% of your damage to 20% of your maximum HP.

----
Here's how I did the test:

Bishop: maxHP 29k, HP recovery skill +130%
Hero: maxHP 53k, HP recovery skill +80%

1) Heal Hero with AR+VoA. Hero's HP went up from 23k to 29k. (+6k)
2) Heal Hero with AR. Hero's HP went up from 30k to 44k. (+14k)
3) Self heal with AR+VoA. Bishop's HP went up from 8k to 14k (+6k)
4) Self heal with AR. Bishop's HP went up from 4k to 18k (+14k)

btw, when I turn on VoA, healing is reduced by 60%, so AR only heals by 20%*40%=8%.

for 4), 13.7k HP is about 47% of my maxHP, which is roughly 20% * (1 + 130%). [maxHP * 20% * (1+%HPrecovery)]
for 3), 5.5k HP is about 40% of 13.7k, i.e. [maxHP * 8% * (1+%HPrecovery)]

now to interpret result 2)... I have a few assumptions...
a) [HeroMaxHP * 20% * (1+%HeroHPrecovery)]
b) [HeroMaxHP * 20% * (1+%BishopHPrecovery)]
c) [BishopMaxHP * 20% * (1+%HeroHPrecovery)]
d) [BishopMaxHP * 20% * (1+%BishopHPrecovery)]
e) [HeroMaxHP * 20%]
f) [BishopMaxHP * 20%]

I'll save the math here... just use your calculator and you'll find out d) is correct. Actually you might have noticed the healing amount of 1) and 3) are the same, also 2) and 4), since they used the same formula d).
----

This is inconvenient
1) for unfunded players. If you only have 8k maxHP and you are using AR to heal a funded Kaiser with 60k maxHP, you pretty much do nothing.
2) for boss raids. For warrior classes it would be difficult to heal >15% HP per AR if VoA is turned on.

Actually for now VoA is kind of "combat-mode" since the healing effect is nerfed so badly. Would have to turn off VoA for healing but the "Heal" skill is superior to AR after the nerf. But still, gotta take care of the cooldown...

Another note on the Heal cooldown:
When I equipped a -2sec cooldown hat, my Heal had 1sec cooldown upon use. I don't know the reason behind it but the idea of 0sec cooldown Heal was fun so I got baited and got -1sec on bpot. I was surprised that the -1sec cd bpot does literally nothing, Heal's cooldown is still 1sec.

@sparkshooter: the cooldowns are there to nerf Phantoms, who can make use of Heal. Dispel has had a cooldown for a while now though.

Thank-you! wow, this is so helpful. In that case HP washing, and HP increasing skills are really useful... for better healing.
Hey, maybe the % healing from equips don't add up, but rather these lines are multiplicative? Just like PDR?

@sparkshooter: I think honestly they should make a way to separate, it kind of like and extreme VoA. Make it so you can focus on utility and be like utility king/queen 9000 OR focus on damage and be hitting high numbers with angel ray but lose out on utility but when you chose one u gotta stick with it unless u SP reset or somethin'

I don't understand Nexon's ideology here. They're trying to make every job somewhat equal and able to attack/boss. But I chose a Bishop because I wanted to be 100% support. The cooldowns on Heal and Dispel are just stupid.

-x sec cooldown lines do not stack.
Your bpot one doesn't stack with the main pot, and instead, the higher of the two is applied.
