I mean think about any other mmo for a second. RS for instance. No one is going to throw a godsword/bandos boots/torso/etc at you for free. People who invested time and money (time essentially = money in most instances) into the game provide these items on the market so they can make their money back. Otherwise there would be no point in even funding your character.

But word of advice. Don't go crazy with dropping money into the game. Part of the experience is slowly ranking up. If you just drop a few g's into maple your range will reflect that but you won't get any satisfaction.

spell traces, link skills, and star force. You're gonna need mesos/$$ for anything else. But I can't see getting to an average range without at least a few mesos for decent clean gear and stars. Unless you are only going to use what you pick up from monster drops. It's probably not the fastest or easiest route.

Especially if this was before starforce you were not below average as a NL. Most of the ones I meet were in awe of my 250k range back when that was all I had. You just don't hang around the average player enough to assume 200k was below average

With some basic spell tracing and link skills you can easily get a decent 100k+ range. I put minimal funding into mine aside from spell tracing and enhancing stuff and achieved almost 150k range.

As a former NL, User, it took me like 4months with decent gear to get to 206k range, and i wasn't even close to avg, around other NL's i was perhaps the lowest. Don't fund a NL

Wtf does this mean? Average player is probably going to be ~100k, just starforce all your gear and you'll be there.
