watching this video just made me reminisce the old days of mapling. it required not only funding, but also teamwork, and the competition between the two teams was motivation/fun as well. it was also easier to make friends this way through interactions. i'm not saying the new maple nowadays is bad, but i wish it would incorporate some of the old maple's aspects that made it so good. i'm sick of just doing daily bossing and having small talk with friends and then just afk for hours lol. boss arena is relatively fun, but i rarely, if ever, get picked as a lvl 210 so yeah. i feel as though introducing a new form of pvp like monster carnival would be beneficial.

tradewins was lame and boring though. it just really defeated the whole point of it. though sometimes you had a teammate who was willing to cheat the tw and it could be funny.

CPQ isn't really damage dependent. You really only needed a tiny bit of funding if any.

It only took about a month of the carnival being released for people to start trading wins. Nothing can compare to the first few weeks when it was a battle of will and wit, since you could use summons and debuffs to cripple even the most funded opponents. The sound of tombstones dropping because you used speed up and magic up and weapon cancel on a wave of master chronos, then casting weaken so your enemies couldn't reach the buff clearing stones was more satisfying than any modern maple invent. But again I need to remind everyone that the maple community ruined that in favor of convenience. summoning speed up and trojans for fast exp was deemed better than fierce competition between two parties of future heroes.
That said, I remember doing monster carnival 2 on my Evan back in those days and doing a lowluk build to equip a well scrolled heart staff JUST SO I COULD CRIT FOR 10K AND SEEM PRO. They were the best of times.
I really loved Carneval PQ. Need more team spirit in this game.
If Nexon hired a team that only focused on balancing/improving the PvP part of maplestory, it might work, they'd have to change a lot of stuff for every class to be somewhat viable.
I kinda like the flag races as a *kind of* PvP, I want more jump quest races.

true, but re-introducing monster carnival will make maple more enjoyable.
