Are Shadowers still good?
I want to make a Shadower because they seem fun but I'm not sure if it's worth playing one unfunded?

No their not with a party every class is the same more or less.

Been a Shad since 08' completely unfunded but now I just hit 2m-2m range for the first time ever. I love the class, and I think more people should play it! It's been a solid trainer and bosser all the way through IMO, and survivability is soooooo nice compared to other classes.
It's certainly perfectly viable for doing end-game bosses as well. CRA is a little harder, but I have a rather easy time taking on emp / hellux / hard mag solo.
They're pretty strong. Depending on class preferences though, they may feel a bit slow. I love the bstep animnation though.
dropped about 1b into my shadower, and managed to get a buffed range of 165k.
Shadowers are decent unfunded. They're hella fun ithough for sure. My #1 favorite class.~
They're pretty strong unfunded.
They're also quite bulky so you don't use a whole lot of potions when grinding.
When you do need a potion you can also use steal to get one, the ones from party play areas fully heal you c:
