General

Marksman

Curious about Mm job advancement name

So just something I've noticed, and to the average civilian it's probably nothing.

But I've always wondered why 3rd job was Sniper, and 4th was Marksmen,

Considering that in the Army, Sniper is one of the most prestigious things/hardest things you could do, meanwhile "marksman" is the absolute basic qualification level on your rifle.

Like in the Army, when we have to qualify with our rifles, it goes in this order in terms of award from lowest to highest( Marksman, Sharpshooter, Expert, Hawkeye)

Obviously it's just a game and it's all in good fun, but it's just something I picked up on and made me wonder, especially being in the Army, seems like a strange thought for me.
There was a time when 3rd job was the highest advancement anyone could receive, so Sniper being the 3rd job name for Crossbowmen seems like its consistent with what you're saying (when looking at it in the right context).
Hmm ya I remember, Im a beta player, but good point, never thought about that.

Even then I wonder if a name like "hawkeye" would feel more suitable as a 4th job name. just a thought
