Friendly tip to Surprise Style Box openers

I've been meaning to impart this for a while:

This is one of many, but what accounts for the ~1675% disparity in (Scanian) value between the two overalls in this example is gender restriction.

I'm not talking about when one is using the item; I mean to stress the part where the box in and of itself is being opened. Redeeming prizes on male characters unequivocally shifts any chance toward female-only items away. Fewer people open on female characters and as a consequence they cost exorbitantly more.

Having spoken to several box openers over a long time, those who were aware of this made up a fraction of a fraction of the group. Here's my attempt at contributing balance.

Shortened version: open more on female characters in the name of mutual benefits, god damn it. Appreciated.

I wish. Based on people not gravitating toward the advantage, though, the outlook hasn't been very promising.
So it's completely confirmed that no matter how many surprise boxes I buy on my Aran, I'll never get Rosemary Tea time?
Yes.
This is really the first I've heard of that gender restriction.
Hence the thread. I hear that too often.

This is really the first I've heard of that gender restriction. I could sort of understand if it was more biased towards character gender, but male items only being available on male characters, but both items available on female seems odd.

But yeah, female versions of most/all NX items cost way more. It's pretty ridiculous.
where's your proof that you get more girl items on girls opening boxes? i always tend to get boy items when i open those boxes on girl chars.

to all the fruity fairies in this thread, no offense to you. not everyone wants their guy chars to look like women.
Female-exclusive items are obtainable only through female characters. I don't think you read the thread.

Let's say someone wants a Baby Doll Puka (male) and they have a Baby Doll Linka (female). Would you advise them to trade theirs away for it, when the value of the Linka could buy 16 Pukas?

I don't know where your head is at. This is about margins, not preference. Even if you make it an argument about preference, higher yields = ability to satisfy one's preferences more cost effectively.

I doubt this is the reason for the price difference.
I mean.. come on. Guy styles on MS for hair/face/clothing generally look like crap in comparison to girl ones.
Also, people like to charge more for female nx because girls care more about looks than boys do in general.
I always try to urge people to create a female character if they don't have one already and open boxes there, because I am willing to buy them at a much higher cost than the male counterpart.

I looked for the Bunny Girl for days when Spring boxes came out and was lucky that my offer of 800mil was accepted. It is now worth over 1bil, maybe more. It's all gone now. On the other hand, I still see Bunny Boy for <400, by the same sellers and unsold.
Lament to me as much as you like and it'll still have the same, grating effect. I share the grievance, needless to say. >.<

Oh, and Rosemary costs 2.5 to 4bil as opposed to Chamomile which has gone from 1ish to <400mil or so. Opening the prem boxes on a female and getting something like that would not only break even, but even make profit.
What about Windia? Does our server have more female players?
The trend in disparity between male and female exclusive items goes for all servers. The magnitudes are the only difference, but they're still too much.

This is addressed to people who open to sell rather than use, although if they got a female overall, they'd be able to sell it for more and buy a male one. They'd end up in a better position than they would have opening on a male character in either scenario.

You didn't think this through.
