Wow epic fail, Im dumb

Someone claimed they were selling a superior lidium heart for 6b(It's over 10b in Scania). They pretend to be a noob and tell you they'll set up shop in Ch 15 FM 1 or whatever then someone random comes in spamming "DON'T SELL THE HEART I'LL BUY IT 10B" but the person selling the superior heart is already setting up shop. You think that other person will buy the heart as soon as they open the store so you start spam clicking and buy the heart. Then it turns out to be a regluar lidium heart and that person who was buying for 10b is just their accomplice. I made sure they had the heart in the beginning but then my merchants intuition kicked in and I couldn't let that deal pass.

BEWARE!

@CherryTigers: well im talking about the ones that buy low and sell high....
tbh those bossing guys arent too nice either because they would look at kms-update and see if there a new class coming to hold that class equip to sell it for more later ...
then act like they only have one "2 hand-sword" for example then the next day another one pop out all of a sudden...
bossing is bossing and merching is merching those guides mean nothing to me...you look like fool defending merchants...they're nothing but "self-justified" scammers
oh and next time talk straight to me... dont be talking about me with other people like youre better than me ...

@noobeat: Educate yourself on a topic before you speak about it or you may look like a fool. Go look up some money making guides/merching guides. Not once is "buy from a noob and trick them" in any guide from any respectable merchant. Many of the biggest/richest players in this game are bossers/merchants who are the nicest people I've ever met in this game. They take the time to help people and support those around them. Your narrow point of view only sees merching as "buy low sell high." You're so far from the truth. For example: Bossing is merching in my eyes because it relies on an investment (on your equips) and a return (boss drops). You can't look at merching as a straight-line. Rather, it's a whole overarching idea.

I don't feel like typing a wall of text but I even have a video on YouTube that defines what "merching" really is. It's 40 minutes long and not once do I say "buy from a noob and trick them." Hopefully you understand a little bit of what my point of view is on this topic.

Those guys that lie/scam the people that they buy items from are not merchants. They're nothing but scammers.
@noobeat you seem to be very biased on that last sentence there, pal. When I came back to Maplestory, kind merchants were the ONLY reason why I have a fairly good amount of mesos atm. One kinda merchant gave me 10m because he was kind. Another one critized me then gave me 100m for FREE. Then, a collector(not a merch this time) saw an equip he liked(green surfboard), and gave me the option between 90m or a pink bean cushion. last of all, a collector gave me 200m for a limited edition maple glove. What I am trying to say is that merchant ARE still regular people, just like other non-merchants. Not all are greedy, and the ones that are either have no friends(LOL) or are also desperate for the mesos. It's all business, and all "scams" can we blessings, since you would gain the knowledge of the issue and hey, you can be more wary of scammers both in game and in real life.
EDIT: if anyone can tell me how to reply to people instead of just using @*input ign here*, that'll be great
so what? that like a billionaire giving you a 100$...
you do realize that those mesos were "dirty obtain" meaning they were taken away from noobs that just bought a shop and didnt have any idea what he was doing ...
not only that those merchant took those cheap items out of people that really need em but dont have the billions to buy it..talk about not be able to get lucky break in maple cause merchant be in fm 24/7

man...like i say i just say regular people as people that dont merch...
stop it ...of course everybody human...f...out of here with that...

i do group them together cause you basically scam like twice every deal like buy from the ignorant for low then sell to the desperate for high..

@Undexme you dont get it do you? he was trying to take advantage of some1 but that guy was steps ahead of him... he was greedy and he got what he deserve...
that the type of people i think that deserve to be scam...

This reminds me of those "fast trade" scams where someone would sell something cheap to you, and they wanted you to do it as quickly as possible, so in the end you ended up getting ripped off because you would buy something crap (people always did it with scrolls).

You're right! Yours wasn't nearly as bad, you lost millions while he lost billions? That's a pretty nice comparison. On a side note, how could you possibly mistake 6m with 600m when it's clearly color coded? gg

you lacking something there sir..
Pretty sure Bill Gates and Steve Jobs were merchants of the computer industry and they were regular people before they became extremely famous and wealthy. Maybe while he's lacking the belief you have, you may be lacking real life knowledge.

@Ekko He doesn't know what he's talking about. For some reason, I get the impression from him that he seems to be grouping merchants with scammers, which is just so misinformed that I'm not going to bother posting to him.

This is a very common scam that was attempted on me in the past and even in a rush, I've been able to verify the legitimacy of the trade by hovering my mouse over the item before buying it. Just be careful.

Merchant intuition should = If something's too good to be true, it may be too good to be true.

This happens to my friend, except it's a half heart earring. He raged really bad as it killed the profit he made from Marvel... Anyway I perfected his Fafnir weapon to make up for it (not that it's my fault) but wanted him to cheer up so yea..
