Essayplease help

so uhh essays... im not so great at english and writing essays especially when it comes to analyzing books or poems.
we just finished reading the book thief (a beautifully written book) and i cannot think of any life lesson for that book.
i know it has a lot of life lessons like reality and power of words but my teacher doesnt like cliche things.
so im asking for some advice in essay writing (or techniques u know that helped you) or some options i should do for the life lesson.

A tip that helped me alot whilst writing my own essays and thesis was to have someone else proofread a copy for you. I learned that the way you write can influence your mind to ignore mistakes because while you might believe that you gave the most effort you could give, your brain might say your essay is perfect and without any errors whilst in reality, your essay is full of punctuation and grammar errors. Another tip that might help you is to avoid repeating phrases/words since your teacher may assume that you are simply filling your writing with redundancies in order to make it longer to meet a certain quota. In other words, only include parts of the essay that are necessary. For Example, instead of putting "This sentence show how much jews had to struggle during this certain time period. This is shown by referring back to the third paragraph of 'etc etc etc'" put "This passage, referring back to 'etc etc etc" shows the struggle caused by this certain time period."

"'The Book Thief' written by Markus Zusak emphasized the critical key component that language serves in our routine day to day lives; the words that we speak and the way we communicate is often ignored and taken for granted, but Zusak through symbols, motifs, and literary techniques showed that there's a fantastical power behind the human way of expression." There, I gave you a start; now go find the concrete evidence to support that thesis. I have redeemed myself and don't feel like an ass anymore. Oh, and this theme is not a cliche; cliches come to light and are only obvious when the work is written in a low register and the writer sucks.

@2DayiDual i actually tried to write about that but i couldnt think of anything to write about... my teacher wants us to write a whole essay instead of a "three pronged thesis/essay" we all used to use when we were in middle school.

That's one of my favourite books and I'm glad I read it because I wanted to and not for class. English class takes the fun out of reading. </3

The only life lesson I can think of is having the strength and will to live through adversity.
