I will use peanut butter for a dipping sauce but I will only save the jam for the bread.

I think peanut butter is gross an I love jelly on toast (as @SirKibbleX2 mentioned) I wouldn't eat a pb&j sandwich because of the peanut butter, so I'm gonna say I'm a jelly person.

if i had to choose strictly one, then i'll go with pb. but i kinda like the sweetness from the jelly, but too much is too much so ye, good combo

For the most part pb&j sandwiches are pretty gross but jelly is exceptionally gross so I'm more of a pb person.
