The best binding job depends on the situation. Some jobs binds such as I/L and shade can actually be much more useful than having 2 kanna binds. Ex: chaos pink bean. The bind will keep the boss bound even after it has moved into another form, allowing you to get the full 25 seconds of bind time, especially useful if you can kill bodies quickly.

I think between I/L and Shade, Shade would probably be best since the shade can usually split the boss and attack as well. I don't think the invincibility of the I/L bind is useful in many situations.

For regular bosses, such as cygnus, magnus, etc. Kanna can shutdown a boss with binds much better than any other, given that they have 2.

Phantom? Please, Give credit where credit is due.
Use your own skills- Oh wait..

I/L has a bind- it's not a stun. Duration of 25 seconds, hits 8 monsters, with a Two-minute cool down, and also decreases monsters affected's magic defense by 15% and physical defense by 30%. You are invincible during this skill.
It's speculated that I/L and Shade have the best binds- Shade's due to it's area trap.

Bind List:

[*] Luminous: Armageddon, Immobile Duration: 20 seconds, Cooldown: 120 seconds Hits 15 monsters.
[*] Kanna: Binding Tempest, Immobilize Duration: 20 sec. Cooldown: 120 sec Hits 15 monsters.
[*] Kanna: Veritable Pandemonium, Immobile Duration: 20 sec. Cooldown: 120 sec Hits 15 monsters.
[*] Shade: Spirit Trap, Trap Duration: 25 sec, Cooldown: 172 sec Immobilizes infinite enemies.
[*] Xenon: Entangling Lash, Imobbile Duration: 15 seconds. Cooldown 180 seconds Hits 15 monsters.
[*] Demon Avenger: Blood Prison, Immobile Duration: 21 sec. Cooldown: 120 sec Hits 14 monsters.
[*] Demon Slayer: Binding Darkness, Immobilize Duration: 20 sec. Cooldown: 120 sec Hits 15 monsters.
[*] Dawn Warrior: Impaling Rays, Incapitate Duration: 20 sec. Cooldown: 120 sec. Hits 15 monsters.
[*] Palladin: Smite Shield, Incapacitate Duration: 20 sec, Cooldown: 120 sec Hits 15 monsters.
[*] I/L ArchMage: Freezing Breath - I am confused, since it mentioned on several boards, but the skill decription calls it "Stun", yet on forums and some sites they say it's a bind and it only states how much time the skill lasts (as a hold-down skill) and not how long the monsters are binded. Hits 8 monsters. Cooldown: 120 sec.

Honorable Mentions:

[*] Zero: Time Distortion - Removes DR and all other effects from bosses (and decreases it's defense). Duration: 30 sec, Cooldown: 250 sec
[*] Phantom: Vol D'Ame - Can remove the DR effect from the boss and "steal it" recieving a buff: Reflects 600% of Damage Received. Cooldown: 120 sec
[*] Phantom: Impeccable Memory - Can imitate any explorer's non-hyper active skills, as such he can copy I/L's binding skill.

Also, some classes have some kind of "Final Form" or something of the sort, that allows them to ignore DR, such as Luminous Equalibrium, and Kaiser's Awakening mode.

Tell me if I missed any other legitimate Binding skill.
Judgment is yours.

@mrsindeath19
Well, I love Night Lords but why do we not need binding mules exactly?
Ice lightning has the smallest off/on ratio I believe. 25 sec bind with 2 min cooldown. Phantom can steal that, so either one would be good.
Plus it gives -15% PDR / -30% MDR on the boss when used.
