@pilox: Congrats! I'm still waiting to see if I'll be chosen for their next wave of Closed Beta invites.
As someone who played during Maple Story's Beta period, I'd feel a little miffed if I missed out on participating in Maple Story 2's Beta.

Makes me wonder if Nexon's snubbing me on purpose. *awkward chuckle*
They probably want to send as many of their invites to those who play often, are active and influential in someway in the Maple Story community, and who are willing to spend money on their games (all of which don't describe me at all).
Oh well. I'll just continue trying to remain hopeful.

I feel the same as you that Maple Story 2 isn't the type of game that I'd normally play (I generally prefer pixelated, 8-bit to 16-bit side scrolling stuff), but there's something really appealing about it, so I'm willing to give it a chance.

@baroo: Got a Closed BETA invite so I'm gonna check it out and spend a few days on it. If it gets populated and the game is actually good, I'll stick to it.

If Nexon advertises it, it might do well. But they will probably end up ruining this game as well, eventually, and everyone will just quit.

I'll stick to it for as long as its not too pay2win and it actually gets a community.

Been playing MS on and off since 2006, but recently the server is so dead (mostly due to hackers) that its not even fun logging on.

MS2 isn't really my type of gameplay, but given my affection for MapleStory I might grow into it.

Most people who were probably interested in this game during its initial release in Korea have probably already forgotten about it and no longer care.
Still, better off late than never, I guess. =/

Why would you play maplestory 2 when the tokobashira as a statue of a meditating hippie with a tired deep in thought like how the bald head and eyes on the statue, the ghost from the Grudge set the Japan with Sarah Michelle Gellar is right in the Mushroom shrine showa town quest where you kill a bunch of rats that have the same amount of hp as the feeling the coolie zombies gave to old-school maplestory players who wanted to level up in competition at the same time as Tiger the warrior being the first maxed cap lvl mapler?
