magnus problems
So I've been trying to defeat normal magnus on my dual blade and I have enough damage to kill him easily, 675k range clean and around 120% boss.
But I keep dieing too much...
Today I got magnus to around 55% hp in 1 life, and the next 5% hp costed me around 5 lifes...
I'm trying to play safe and just dark sight alot, dodging the rush move and the balls, but when I use final cut and try to damage him alot i find myself dieing quickly, especially when he's lower than 50% hp...
Could you guys give me some tips on how to deal with him? Or is it just trial and error...

You have 1 of 2 options.
1: You practice a lot and you will get the hang of it.
2: You get stronger and do more damage.
I have half your range and I can do normal magus easily. But I have 2x ur boss dmg lol. All I can say is fight him near the right side of the map and when u died and respawn make sure you jump straight to the far right and start buffing there. Make sure you play it safe and time your cd's right. I have bind so I make sure to use it when I first enter and then start attacking like crazy, then once it stops I run away from magnus and try to survive and wait til my bind's cd is done. This way you're playing it safe, but you'll lose far less lives. Yes it will take a while but it's way easier this way if you suck at dodging attacks.

Magnus is a boss that requires skill and control, all you need to do is grind it out till you know his animations and how to dodge them without dark sight (which is mainly used for dodging the balls anyway), like for instance you can dodge his rush move and his spinning move by jumping and using blade ascension. Also when buffing, as a DB you have the awesome advantage of being able to buff in dark sight lol as well as walk through the map in dark sight to get to magnus but not to dodge his moves, we DB's are blessed with a crap ton of rushing skills, make use of them. Thanks for the tips guys I guess I will keep trying it tonight, and taking it a little more slowly...
Probably won't be buying another pet (already got 1) since i might change to a pally/kaiser in the near future, dual blades are kinda boring... I only like them at bosses otherwise they're meh...
If you're practicing, you need to stop leaning on dark sight that much because it's killing your skills.
Yes, pro DB's do use dark sight, but they don't overexcessively use it.

When I do magnus I tend to play it very very safe. You keep a manageable distance and when you see that he is doing a flimsy attack (the shadow web, the green sword smash with his clones) and NO balls around, attack. Remember, you got 30 minutes... use it. Also, to avoid that frustrating rebuffing death due to balls. I only buff up necessary buffs(Booster and Shadow Partner) so that I avoid the balls more. Use Mirror Target for the shadow evasion and yea. the rest is just practice. Hope this helps.
im not a db but u can say, its all practice
try get your hands on 10.5knx and get 3 pet buffs automaticaly ( assuming u have 3 pets )
then u dont rebuff at all, and since most deaths happen when u buff that will help
avoid far left and right from gas , and thats all there is to it
and btw, it gets harder past 30%
