California Thread

All you Californians;
Let's talk about how beautiful our state is.
Where from Cali are you guys?

I'm from the West side of the San Fernando Valley.
Favorite places to go: Malibu, Venice, Santa Monica Pier, Hollywood!

GAAH, San Diego has so many hot guys, beautiful people, beautiful houses. When I visited SD, I fell in love with the city.
Goodness, I wish I could live there.

California rolls aren't that great.
And California Pizza Kitchen is okay.

A normal summer day in Texas, where I live, is like a heatwave for California. Oh Texas, you and yo' daily 90+ degrees.
OH YOU.

I used to live in San Jose. Now I live in Sugarland, in Houston.
California wins in weather and beaches. Texas, from where I live, is probably economically cheaper.
IE: 240k house over here is like a 1.3mil house in California.

And I hated California because of San Jose. Gosh darned Mexicans everywhere going "AY CHINO" to me. And everyone spoke Spanish and I felt left out :c

Used to live in the Bay Area, CA about three years ago. I now live in Massachusetts, but my parents are moving back to California next year. I'll be away in Michigan for college though.
I think they're planning on moving to Carmel or Half Moon Bay.
My favorite place in California? The drive in NorCal all along the Pacific Coast Highway, by Big Sur. Favorite beach is at the end of Ocean Avenue in Carmel. Also love the beaches along the 17-mile drive.

I don't really like the big cities that everyone seems to love in CA. I much rather prefer cities and towns with less tourism and more natural beauty. (only exception-- San Fransisco, I love it)

I would have been going to a school in the UC system (I was seriously thinking about going to UCLA or UC Berkeley) but the budget cuts are just insane.
I mean, spending more money on prisons than on education? Really?

I used to live n Cali but I ha to move I lived in Arcadia about five min away from the Santa anita mall (think that's what it was called). My favorite places were the arboritum, Santa monica pier, and the Hugo Reid punch ball courts. Those who think your education sucks I will attest that you guys probably are smarter than me... Unless you live in the more ghetto areas. When I moved to Kansas I was a year ahead in math and two in reading. Yeah I know Kansas is dumb but the place I moved to is supposedly one of the best districts in the nation. It's also a very affluent area. So what if your econ sucks, it's still better off than other states like Kansas because they are too dumb to do anythig right.
