So I have never watched any anime in my entire life. I read Dragonball but that's it. I'm looking for something fun with a lot of humor.

Full metal alchemist's another good one, watching some top 10's and they voted it the best anime, so might be worth checking out as well

I'd recommend Psycho-Pass as a serious one to watch, it's a psycological thriller so there are some bloody/disturbing scenes, but it is an incredibly well-done series.

okay, first off, if we go to the comedy genre, watch daily life of high school boys or gintama (later it will get golden)
if you are just there for amazing looking action scenes (better than dbz), check fate zero, attack on titan, gurren lagann or samurai champloo.
and if you are new to anime and you dont want to spend to many time on it, DO NOT WATCH ONE OF THOSE 100+ EPISODES ANIMES LIKE NARUTO, BLEACH, ONE PIECE and [b]FAIRY TARD[/b]. seriously, most of them are clicheed (okay, one piece is epic in one way, naruto got amazing side characters like itachi uchia, like bleach got aizen, and fairy tards... sucks...), you are better off reading the manga, since it is much faster this way. also, there are no fillers in manga. seriously >_>

DBZ TFS is funny. Attack on Titan TFS is also funny
Gintama references Japanese culture and other anime/manga. Not all the episodes may hit you
Hajime no Ippo is a fun boxing anime. If you don't like boxing, this might change you
Be careful when any anime mentions " Romance", there is a difference between " anime romance " and real life
E.G Dragon ball had 0 romance by anime's standards
this may be my personal opinion
If you liked Dragon Ball you will like Fairy tail , almost all anime is funny in different ways, even the most serious anime has light humor ,
Personal favourites are Cowboy Bebop , very funny,
and Beelzebub , unbelievably funny
Great teacher Onizuka is very funny too
So is The irresponsible captain taylor
I's worth watching the first episode of anime's to see if you like them, they tend to be a good indicator , even if it only seems " OK" it's worth watching up to the 3rd episode to see if anything happens , Bleach is a bit boring for the first 20 odd episodes ( or so I've been told) then it's amazing
Magi is quite funny and well worth a watch
If you've never watched anime before you might get thrown into the deep end a bit
One piece is a good show to start with, and if you manage to watch it all you'll of done that which most cannot
One piece is a very good show, every likes it, it's just got a lot of episode's to it , most people have watched a series here or there , so starting to watch it now means missing out or having to watch 200+ episodes to catch up , if your looking to start anime this is a good chance to get into a good one
WATCH ONE PIECE! classic anime, ticks nearly every box anime has to offer, after that you'll be able to watch other things easily , quite like Dragon ball as well , Fun , Light hearted , action packed and moving at the same time .

You want action on the side or...? I haven't seen much either but if you want action and humor I'd suggest Fairy Tail.
idk what type of humor you're into but i'd recommend Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou (Daily Lives of Highschool Boys) if you're looking for comedy.
