To all of you people

Hello everybody,

I'm a veteran Maple player. I've been playing this game on and off for around 6 years and I know almost everything from this game. I know the storyline out of my head, I know which classes have which skills and what all classes can do, I know about the history of the game; as in... before I played. I know I may not say that I'm a veteran player, since some people here actually played Beta. I didn't, so don't flame me on that or something.
When I play Maplestory now, I do see that the game isn't as popular as it was. People are solo'ing all bosses. You barely do stuff with more people, except party quests, which are almost dead. But there are still nice people with whom you can chill. It's nice. Make friends! Don't be social awkward and join a guild and talk to them! It's a really heave factor in this game, making friends.
In six years, I've had a lot of experience with this game. When the game has its updates, when the game has its weekly maintenances and also when the game is less full than normal. Lately, people are tending to make those 'maplestory is dying'-threads everyday. They say the game is about to die, that there are almost no people online. It's just empty and the social aspect of the game is nearly gone. I'm just here to say that those people are all wrong. Yes, the game is quite empty. That's normal for this time. The game slowly loses its players each Fall. It happens every year! It's just school and people have other things to do these days.

Today I had a discussion with a few friends of mine irl. They all know that I still play MapleStory and they are all laughing at me that I play this game.
'Lol, it's 2d lolol'
'who actually still play that game?'
'the game is so childish dude'
and most importantly: 'the music in this game is soo bad'
Well, I am not here to be angry, but I just want to say to all those people who are here and are bashing on this game to go away. You're wasting your time here. It's a maplestory fansite and if you're here to say to people that the game is dying, just shut up. Through the years, I've attached a lot of value to the music in this game. This is one of the best BGMs there is imo and yes, manly tears where shed for this. It makes me think about those "good ol' days", when the game was packed with people.
Those days weren't as good as you all may think. Yes, the community was great... sometimes. The community still is great, but everybody think nowadays that all people are a huge pain in the ass, so they don't talk to them. Only 'cc plz' or something like that. Why don't you guys give it a try? There really are nice people around here and the nice community isn't gone at all. You just don't talk to them...

Now this text here may seem to you as a huge nonsense, but I just wanted to give my opinion about most of the playerbase here on Basil. And not just on Basil, but also in Maplestory itself. The game is not dying!
