R.i.p Nexon, Oldies forever live

This is a thread for us to all sit here and remember the GOOD times we had (2007-2009)

When getting to Lvl 30 was actually a achievement and lvl 200 would mean you actually had no life. Tiger and Suhsi days. Old Nexon threads ..
If you didn't play maplestory 2007-2009 you never had fun, and thats a fact.
Wow, this is such an original and enlightening thread. I personally prefer getting to 70 in 2 days than wasting hours getting to level 20, thank you very much.
As I said, 06 wasn't fun. I DID infact play in 06. It just wasn't fun.. So 07-09 >> you >> 06.

Oh cool a "nostalgia" thread by a "veteran" player, haven't seen that before.
Sorry to all the people who see these threads alot, honestly I don't use these forums at ALL .
I wasn't aloud to own a account before 07. I played before 07 but never had my own account, also I didn't like it and how am I gonna say anything before 07 when I wasn't half as active as I was 07. I'm not gonna lie ..
Then don't claim 07-09 are the MOST fun because you played the most.
As you said, the game changed. I never evne mention something about PQ stop.. 2006 was lame, I played my brothers account then never owned my own. And he cosigns me on that it sucked hard. Why should I play another game when I don't play this game? I logged on yesterday for the first time in about a good year. Don't assume me.
Why do I see these threads at least 3 times a week?

Edit: I have so many things I could be raging about right now. I'll list them in about a minute.
It took me one hour to get to lvl 20.. This game CHANGED. I haven't. This game was about damage to FOOLS. I played perm beginner, islander, HP Warrior. I can't relate to all that damage crap. It was always about playing with friends.
it was always about damage, you were just too blind to notice
No, it's still you who changed. Obviously the game did change, but to a new player, it's still just as good, or even better, than what you thought in the past. You can still play perm beginner, islander, HP warrior. You can still avoid damage. I avoid damage. I'm level 200 and I have the funding of a level 80. It's you who decided to change your own opinion towards this game.

Again, play another game. See how you react to things. You're gonna play for a tiny bit, and instantly begin searching and asking the best skill builds, the best areas to grind, the best weapons and items, how to get them, etc.

And stop thinking that level 30 now equals level 30 before. Level 30's achievement now would be level 10's achievement in the past; level 70 as level 30, level 120 as level 60, and level 200 as level 120. Yes, the levels changed. But you're ignorant to even think that the current level 30 can compare to the previous level 30. Stop saying how long it takes to hit specific levels. It's all about bench marks. Before, the bench marks were 10, 20, 30, 35, 50, 70, 100, 120, 150. Now, the bench marks are 30, 50, 70, 90, 110, 120, 150, 165, 180, 200.

I suppose you won't understand unless you play new games.

Oh and by the way, 2007 isn't what I call the "old days." Do you know why? Because by 2007, I've already played for a year, and I was already finished exploring every god damn map in the game.

You keep saying. Oh, I miss the days where you could explore, henehoe, PQ, etc. You can still PQ, you can still explore, you can still henehoe. But you know what? You don't PQ because of your own choice, you don't explore because you know every map, and you don't henehoe because you don't choose to.

*Scratches head* In 2007 a new exp curved was applied that made training a little bit easier. The real fun was 2005-2007 when you could sit in ant tunnel for 2 months and and still be in your mid level 20's.
Happily, there are worse places to be stuck in I've always thought Horny Mushrooms were very affable-looking creatures, and the cavern backgrounds are peaceful.

Another nostalgia thread made by ignorant fools who thinks that Maplestory is the one that changed.

No. You're the one that changed. You played the game and got used to it. It was always a damage war. It was always about grinding. But you've gotten used to it now. You know everything now, and you're bored with it. You miss those things because they were fun to you at the time. After a while, they were no longer fun, but when Nexon took it away, you instantly decided that those were the best things that ever happened to you. A new player to MapleStory would enjoy it more than an old player.

In fact, a new player to MMORPGs would enjoy it more. MMORPGs operate in very similar fashions. If you're a long time MMORPG player, you can enter a new game and instantly understand everything. A long time gamer can come to MapleStory and achieve level 200 within a few months, all legitimately, without external funding. I've seen it happen before.

Go play another game. You will be faced with exactly the same problems. Because you're too used to it.
