% gear pricing

So I read somewhere on Basil that:
Luk >str> int >dex

And so for example if u take canoneer and Evan
canoneer needs str
so that means he is more expensive than Evans,
but people still say Evan is the cheaper option
so how does that work?
this is a general question not specific to these two classes
I just want a more deeper understanding

I find its pretty much this. WH got a huge boost last patch or whatever, so people are sort of band wagoning it.

I find its more... Thief luk >= Warrior STR > Bowman Dex = Pirate STR >= Mage INT > Pirate Dex.

Canoner STR stuff is only higher than or equal to mage INT cause Shade is a relatively popular class. Now if canoner was using Dex itd be at the lower end of the spectrum.

I think we should also take into account the supply of said items. Even though Dex is cheapest, it's also one of the hardest to find. I've created a Bowmaster expecting to be able to fund it easily, but when it came down to it, it was harder to find %DEX than any other % stat. Ended up having to cube my own, which isn't exactly "cheaper".

I think it's exactly how you said it.
Luk > Str > Int > Dex
Cannoneer more expensive than Evan. Str > Int
Evan is the cheaper option meaning Cannoneer is more expensive. Str > Int

@grap3rr, It's because other people can use the equips. Warriors also use the common %Str equips and Shades and Buccs also share the %Str Pirate equips except for the weapon.

Then by that logic doesn't that make Evans more expensive cuz they hit speed cap
or something and canons are inantly slow.

Cannoneer more expensive than Evan, and people say Evan is cheaper option. It works exactly as it sounds? I wouldn't look at which stat is more expensive and then assume that those classes are cheaper or more expensive to fund. I look at it like this; a class with high damage and low attack speed is cheaper to fund, while classes with low damage but fast attacks are more expensive. You also need to look at the demand of items and popularity of a class.
