*points to all of the ones that have 0 comments or have no comments that are actually helpful*

Yeah. Just stop. No one cares about Price Check threads. It's just pointless spam at this point.
Then I guess I'm in the minority cause when someone does post that they got hacked/scammed, I do care. I like to read those threads to see if there's a trend going, to keep myself current if there's any new scams/hacks going on, in order to keep my account safe and to keep my friends aware since not everyone uses basil.

Really wishing @Skyenets would give her view on this thread.
And so I have been summoned.

I personally never find a thread useless or spam, as long as the person who created it seriously wonders about what they have asked. Surely it's a pity that these threads don't get an answer, however now that you have notified me of this, I will actually personally stay more alert of these threads and try to answer them.

I don't think we should disallow any thread because we find it annoying. Sure, I don't like it when someone asks me once again why they didn't get SP as an Evan, simply because they didn't do their quests. However I will still answer them because they just didn't realize it themselves.

Find a thread annoying? Ignore it. Besides, you consider them as spam, however you could change that by seriously answering the thread aye?

Someone finally said what I've been getting to saying. Stop the cancer with all the p/c threads that we don't care about. It only takes about 5-15 minutes to find a price check if you do your research.
What else is there to discuss that could not be asked in subforums?
It's just getting out of hand because lately that's all that has been posted.
As mentioned several times, there is a thread that is dedicated to price checks, and those that post in it usually do get answered.
Threads involving which class one should play, on the other hand, are just stupid and unnecessary.
What ever happened to the "price check the person above you thread"? That one was the only p/c thread I liked
Oh, you mean: http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/2103763

It's still going strong . I made it partly to stop this forum from being flooded with price check threads. People probably have the best chance of getting their price check questions answered in that thread rather than making new ones which will most likely be ignored, and at the same time help someone else in the process. But apparently, people are blind.

I totally agree with you.

No offense, but this thread you made is pointless. Everyone knows that people will still ask for P/C and there's nothing you or anybody else can do.

What I'm really trying to say is just ignore the people who ask for P/C and only go to the good threads. If you really feel like ranting, do it in a notepad and just leave it there, it really helps you feel better.

I agree with this. Couldn't be bothered to elaborate on why.
I don't agree with this post, not all items can be found in fm well. I am one of those Annoying people who made a price check thread because I can't find anyone else with an elemental staff 5 in windia, and have no idea of its worth (after taking a 8months break from maplestory). And even so, for more high end equipments, most are put in shops at max mesos saying "looking for offer" which doesn't give you an inkling of an idea of its worth. Sorry for wasting ones precise time by clicking on a thread that is easily avoidable by its title of "price check" on basil"market", I apologize. Didn't realize these forms were for gossip and bragging about ranges rather than to help a fellow mappler, woops,
There's a difference for a price check of an obviously ultra rare item instead of a pair of Ice jeans with 0,5% int.
I agree with @Green4EVER, it is kind of annoying If you can't search the Free Market and learn prices then you shouldn't be selling items.
Since I've made this thread there have been 3 P/C threads posted in this subform alone, all of which don't have any answers yet.
smh.
wow i thought the point of basil was to get some answers to the questions one might have. I had a simple question. Then you come and start QQ about the p/c threads. If they go unanswered then they go unanswered there is no point at all to make a WHOLE new thread to complain about the p/c threads. Please lock your thread.
He made a thread to prevent threads in order to clean up the mage forums and to save his eyes and mine. Making a thread of this nature is perfectly valid

I dunno why people don't just ignore the p/c threads or try to help. The faster it gets a price, the faster the thread will lock.
some of the threads I've seen were about pcs on very badly scrolled items.. And I didn't know how to answer it, which I believe the other Mage basilers thought too and probably didn't not answer the thread .That is why I believe that there are unanswered threads :x

Sometimes the OP gets 1 response and leaves it open to get a second price for more accuracy. The 2nd response never comes.

Speaking of irritating things, the worst ones are the damage ones. "Which is better, 6% INT or 10 matk?" I think, good question; it's probably a close call.
I go look in said thread. Absolutely no other information is provided. How the crap am I supposed to help you if you don't give me total INT pre-%, total INT%, total MATK, and LUK?
I proceed to ask them for their INT%. I get a % and a range. Still need more information.
>OP thinks I'm stupid and doesn't supply more info when I ask
>Thread dies.
There's already a lengthy P/C thread that some of the more experienced Mages occasionally check. So @Green4Ever has a point. He's also right about this forum going to crap. No intelligent discussion in a while.
Thank you.
General mage subforum is trash. Subclass forums are where the cool kids hang out.
It's had some decent threads in the past.
Just lately it's been nothing but Price Check threads or kids asking the general public which class they should play.

I just felt like ranting because I'm getting tired of checking this subforum and only seeing Price Check threads (most of them from people who aren't even Mages or don't have a mage listed as their character).
