Anime

HunterXHunter coming to an end /

So the series is about to be over in a couple episodes and this bums me out since in my opinion its one of the best paced animes with a great story and character development. Any thoughts on how it will end? :o

@traderweak: I've lost this post twice so I'm really done lmao
Only point I'll address is that Hunters are not all combat experts. Pro Hunters have jobs in more fields than we've been told and there's no saying they have to fight in most of them. Star rankings are also given out based on merit/achievement more than power levels. Ging got his for archeological preservation, not anything to do with his Nen/Hatsu.
I seriously hope Gon and Killua grow up, at least the look of age 17-18. Also, please don't make them too overpowered. They are way overpowered for their age or even the environment they grow up with.

If future arc, everytime Gon loss someone dear to him, and he always overpowered again then save by someone else again. That feel boring.
Are you even watching the same show? Most shounen protagonists regularly power up with no consequence and you're acting like Gon doing it once, at huge risk to himself, is suddenly OP/boring/typical. The dude destroyed his own body and went into a Nen coma for christ's sake. This all came on the heels of the Chimera arc, where Gon and Killia actually weren't "OP" considering they couldn't defeat Knuckle or Shoot, struggled fighting ant underlings, and Killua had trouble defending himself from Palm. HxH doesn't have power creep and the MCs are pretty obviously not super strong, Togashi subverts shonen ideas pretty well.
I actually saw a post on facebook last week about the series ending in a few episodes and decided to watch it and I got completely addicted and got up to date in 3-4 days. I'm also bummed that it's ending but at least the way they're ending it makes sense; Gon finally meeting his dad and giving him his Hunter's license.
I love when people do this, don't you love the Anime? It's amazing

I think hunter x hunter started to get a bit boring for me during the ant arc. Perhaps it's because the chimera ants creeped me out because of their human features or maybe it's because I'm used to watching Gon, Killua and the other characters progress so fast until they meet the ants who seem kind of unbeatable. I felt more touched in the beginning because of Gon and Killua's innocent friendship but we saw a different side to that when Gon was determined to fight Pitou alone.
I'm also really confused about the new dark continent content. The author took such a long break from writing the manga that I've already forgotten a lot of details so things just aren't making sense to me

I find the pacing very slow. Very slow panning and long dialogues/narration. Barely anything happens in each episode. Election arc is really boring, but still interesting enough for me to keep watching. Looking forward to the dark continent arc tho. Not sure what's after that

Just follow the manga lmao (if togashi doesn't go on another 2 year hiatus )
They chose a perfect moment to end the anime series too like above has mentioned; Gon finally completes his goal of meeting his father and there'll be a hint towards the next story arc

At least it's ending and not going into anime-only trash. The HxH anime staff can't write for crap, as seen in their attempt at a movie.
It'll just introduce the Toriko arc and then break indefinitely, maybe resume if Togashi ever completes the series or at least gets another arc done. Tbh I'm not too torn bc HxH ending means There's no reason Parasyte shouldn't have the best Madhouse staff and the same late timeslot (for censorship purposes).

Yes it will end open-ended having Gon meet and talk to Ging and then introduce the dark continent.
