Even though they got nerfed, I find that their both their hyper skill had the cooldown lowered. 3 Shadow partner skill's cooldown reduced by half which they would have more time to do massive damage plus the lv 170 skill too. So I think this isn't really a nerf for them ? Because they can deal a lot more dmg with 180 cooldown less right o.o ?
They are roughly 1.3x stronger than NLs even after the nerf. The 1.3x figure only exists because of jump cancelling. We don't live in a perfect world, so damage wise, they shouldn't be a huge gap like before. One thing that NLs vastly surpasses NWs is in the training department. Showdown did get an exp and drop rate nerf but it still gives extra exp. When NWs are able to one-hit with bat, then it is a different story.

Yeah this is correct. They ultimately lowered the dmg potential by 45m (really hard to attain the 3rd shadow cap dmg anyway) but decreased the cooldown from 5 min to 3 min which makes every boss slightly longer to kill but standardizes dorothy and cvellum honestly. Id rather have this than the previous anyway. Long cooldowns arent fun.
I would think NW would still do more damage than NL regardless of the nerf because NW being able to jump attack makes them hit more lines per sec than NL. Please see video for reference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJJOKVsREMo
I would say play both, both are strong classes when funded (even with the nerf to NWs) but their play styles are actually slightly different. I know a couple NLs that wanted to switch over for the damage but just didnt like the mechanics of NW's jump attacking.
With the NW nerf, they lose about 1/3 if not more of their damage balancing out that insane gap between NL and NW. Still, NW beats out NL in output cause jump attacking plus triple SP. NLs changes only affect their drop% so the damage is more or less the same.
Unless you've already bought the weapons for it, I wouldn't hesitate to also consider shadowers and DBs. Shadowers get a really nice adjustment to both mobbing (longer range B-step, lower CD on shadow veil), and bossing (assassinate final attacks has less damage but hits twice, can now also be used in the air).
To answer your original question though, I'd still probably stick with NL. NWs are getting nerfed something fierce, but NL didn't get beaten into the ground as badly.

I've said this before, but
Night Lord
Night Walker
Do you want to be a lord or a walker?
In seriousness though, it's a personal choice and there is no "right" answer.

Nw still better. Way better now. Still better later. Nexon doesn't give a damn about NLs atm to buff them.

Than make one
NW if you want to focus on bossing. NLs if you want to focus on training.

Are nightwalkers still strong even with the nerfs? cause i was thinking of maining one.

NL, we are the OG's
NW are just copies and for the handicapped, oh and they suck eggs

Nightwalker will still be stronger than nl due to jump attack. But you should make a Thunder Breaker!
