Whats new in maplestory?
So I've decided to try out maplestory after a super long hiatus (I quit before demon slayer was released) since I'm kind of bored with League of Legends (i want a single player focus now)
Can the helpful basilmarket community tell me real quickly the biggest changes that has happened since then? All I know is 250 lvl cap, lvl 100 for 4th job now, and there are new OP jobs.

Well the population will continue to die because every time someone wants to come back people would be like "no don't, the game sucks".

@mark24: Yes, this is nothing I haven't heard before you know, since it's in almost every basil post nowadays.
But if someone is excited about playing again, let them figure it out for themselves.

The learning part and starting another game is easy. I did it with swtor, dota, and league. The hard part is giving up on a game that you put so much time and effort into.
I've been playing maple since 2007, and I mainly quit this game for RTS's like Starcraft and League of Legends because Nexon was just putting more and more emphasis on the NX to player quality ratio. From what I've seen, it hasn't changed much lol. But I felt like I needed a MMORPG to balance my gaming variety, and I already put so much time and effort on maplestory that I wouldn't bother starting a whole new game (and relearning how it works, etc)

It's kind of late and there are so many problems with the current state of the game. Red won't save it and as time goes on the game will continue to die. The community of players were extremely loyal to this game but nexon just destroyed it for short-term profit. Sucks that these had to be the people running this game. I wonder what this game could have been, it is sad.
...frankly, you've got the gist of the changes down already. Not really much more that you can add to that aside from "more bosses, more areas, changes to already existing areas and craploads of new items"... still hard to believe you've been out of the game for almost two years.
It's a good thing you want single player, because all you're gonna get is single player.

to be honest, the changes made to this game is not really attracting people to play anymore.
my world is even more dead. My world is more dead than before the server merge, I really dislike nexon for what they have done to the game. I think they gave up on the game a long time ago and just milk the remaining players for as much as they can before the game dies in North America.
