Jett is considered adventurers (meaning you can have shared cs inventories) however you cannot switch to one. Your only options are buccaneers and cannoneers

You can make your Gunslinger into a Brawler or a Cannoneer.
Any adventurer pirate except Jett.

Sadly you can only change to Buccaneer or Cannoneer in your case. Jett technically is and not an explorer at the same time.
