But of your two choices, it depends on what you're looking for. Skyrim if you want an expansive content, story-based, single-player experience. Diablo 3 if you're more concerned about min/maxing your character than the story and you want to play with some friends.
@hidoshi94: Yeah, I ld but... even though I most definantly recognize it as the #1 MMORPG (and have done so and defended it for 2 years), I may not play it. If I was to, I would want everything on high (especially for WvW), so I'd pay about $200 to get my computer to the top of the line, something I don't exactly have to spend. Aso, just time. This summer is going to be beyond busy this year (for starters, I'm going to be in a different contenint for 4 weeks). And when school starts, I get even less time. I'm also writing a book. Time & Money are limiting me. However, over the past 2 years, I've become quite knoweldgeble of the game (though over the past months, I've sorta zoned out so I'm sure I'm outdated) and will still support and argue for it being the #1 MMORPG of this time But there are plenty of other basilers interested in it.
>#1 MMORPG of all time >no one has even played it
How can you argue it will be without any proper evidence?
I voted for Skyrim. I'll explain why but it is very biased.
- I played the trial version of Diablo 3 starter version. - The game is based on loot than storyline. -People are saying stuff like you can sell stuff in the real life auction house to get your money back. But he told the truth you need to actually spend a lot of your time to get that or just quit your day job and become a farmer to be a success in that kind of stuff. - Chinese farmers are going to own the auction house. - In the end I don't think it is worth $60.
For Skyrim, it is a game where it feels like a movie. - The game is based on storyline - Everyone who plays Skyrim gets a different experience, so save file is ever the same. - When doing side quests (recommend to do that to get more stronger) you get in to some deep storyline. - Also Skyrim is open world and you can go anywhere anytime but where the final dragon boss map is (you need to do one of the main storyline for that area).
Skyrim is one of the best games I have ever played! Be warned its extremely addicting. Also, don't max smithing (which makes things too godly) and enchancting (which is like a mini percent system like in ms) or you'll ruin the game for yourself.... Unless you play on a rediculously hard difficulty that is ;p
If you played the older two Diablo games, then get Diablo 3. If you played the older Elder Scrolls games, then get Skyrim. If you didn't play any of the older games in both franchises, then flip a coin and pick one randomly cause it looks like you don't care about story development.

Depends.
Do you want a first person third person hybrid game, or a over the top clicking game?
