Procrastination How to stop it?

So this happens to be a big problem from me and I want to stop doing it. The way my assignments work is that it's assigned on Tuesday, and we hand it in on the Monday the week after it's given. That gives about 6 days for the assignment so they tend to be long and tedious. I'm in 11th grade and for the most part I don't do Homework. I find some excuse and avoid it until the night before it's due, freak out, then not hand it in the next day.I wanted to know what you do to stay on track when doing your homework and how to stop being so lazy? </3

Get to it. From what I've seen, it's a lot easier to do work at school than it is at home. Just go to the library and work there. There won't be many distractions and you'll be able to concentrate on it completely.

I have the same problem. It's affecting me so much my grades have dropped right down to Cs and lower. I get a task, I wait to the day before it's due, I procrastinate to 5am in the morning and get 5mins done and I end up not doing it. I don't listen in class and study much unsurprisingly thanks to this too.
Give yourself a clear deadline, give yourself a punishment, no TV if I don't do my homework by Wednesday, then tell someone your goals so you feel embarrassed if you back out. Continue doing this until you get in a habit, try not to break the habit.
Amazing advice, thank you!

Everytime you need to do something, just tell yourself you'll do it only for 15min.
By that time, you'll be so into it you'd just want to finish it, therefore continuing that assignment

Just start it. You don't need to finish it in one go.
Apparently there's a suggestion that one is more likely to finish something if they have already started on it.
Basically there's some mental note telling you "Finish what you started."

There's no instant fix other than throwing out every electronic you have and doing everything old school.

You gotta want it. I mean, I know for a fact that doing HW first and then playing makes much, much more sense. But I ignore it anyway and reverse the order. This Sunday will *probably* end still doing hw past 11, 12 PM. It's all about how much effort you want to put in to inevitably save more time overall.

There's programs and other stuff to disable certain websites and etc to try and stop procrastination, but to me they just seem like a extra effort to save effort.

This is exactly how my last 2 papers went

Take a shower, brush your teeth, sit down in your chair and take a deep breath, like a nice deep breath, open up Word or w/e, and just start, for some reason this works for me amazingly.

what i use to do is set my clock 1 hour ahead. so when i wake up for school and tell myself 15 more minutes and finally get to school at the supposed 9 am. its actually only 8.

I've never heard of that pokemon .-.
Just think: Do it now, and i get more time to play later.
Or you can just chuck your computer out.

Have someone you trust micro-manage you and hold you accountable for getting your tasks done on time.

For example, my girlfriend and I did this thing where I wouldn't get sexy time if I wasn't done by a particular time
...
My procrastination skills suddenly disappeared
