Why Walking Dead Why

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE SEASON 3 FINALE.

I seriously don't understand why Andrea was killed off. In the comics, she's still alive. Whats even more sad is that her death was for nothing. Her death doesn't do anything for the plot at all. Lori had the baby before she died, T-dog saved Carol, ugh . She was the strongest female character there, and the most developed character overall. Now that she's dead, they weakened Michonne too. Like what the hell? They basically killed off two of their strongest female characters. It's been two days since the finale and I'm still so depressed about it. asdfghjkl
I do agree, Andrea was a strong character and it sucks that she died for no real reason, it served no purpose to the story.
It's like they had this season long plan for Andrea which was supposed to end on a climactic note, but then people hated her story throughout the season and so they decided to cut her from the show.
It's a shame really, maybe Beth or Maggie can take her place as the badass female alongside Michonne.
She may have fought a lot of zombies, but I wouldn't call her strong. She didn't trust Michonne's instinct, and she lied to herself about the possibility of a peaceful town like Woodbury existing without effecting others. She's still that person who attempted suicide, and she that person who couldn't bring herself to kill another human being, even if it's the Governor. She was a weak person who died because of her pacifism.
I think that's what motivated Rick to bring back all those old people and children. I think Rick is motivated by Andrea's death to protect the weak. At least, that's how I interpreted Andrea's death.

That's the point. It's suppose to be different from the comic series.
Daryl and Merle don't even exist in the comics.

I guess it would have been hard to come up with more and more matieral if the series was just about killing zombies and finding a way to survive peacefully, which is probably why zombies generally stayed in movies for so long.
Oh well, I just really don't like dramas...

Because AMC wanted to create their own story.

Seriously what's the point in a zombie show where zombies are essentially the backdrop, and drama takes a center stage instead
OT: Sophia's death had no meaningful reason for happening. Same with the black girl or black-haired guy in season one, and I'm sure I'm missing some. It's a zombie apocalypse, stuff happens
Michonne will be fine I think. Daryl recovered from Merle's death between episodes, so I think Michonne will be just as good. Plus, we now have Tyrese, Sasha, and that white girl in the group. We'll see if any of them become valuable members in the next season. Maybe there's even more upcoming major characters in the group that Rick took in.

Also, TV shows don't have to follow their comic counterparts dead on. What fun would that be?
