@originaldude: Think of it this way a 17 year old boy against a 30 or 40 something year old man? This man is bigger than Trevon and more than likely has training in self defense. IF Trevon did this he probably wouldn't have punched him that hard. Zimmerman is on the ground, so what cover you face and push Trevon off. If that's the case that Trevon did start attacking Zimmerman. Zimmerman could have defended himself by pushing Trevon down and easily held him to the ground with his body weight and called 911. Self defense with using your body can easily disarm, and knock a person out giving you time to call the cops. Instead Zimmerman had to be a trigger finger and go blasting holes into Trevon.

@originaldude: If Zimmerman was a part of the Neighborhood watch, then he should have taken courses on how to disarm and take down a man. Zimmerman is a much bigger man than Trevon was. Making it easier to tackle him and bring him down and give a chance to call 911. Also IF Trevon did have a weapon Zimmerman could have talked him down and disarmed him with training. Even better if Trevon was so suspicious Zimmerman could have easily called 911 or the cops and have him investigated. One with common sense does not physically get into contact with someone that is "suspicious." However that is just MY thoughts on this whole situation.
