Anyone good in astronomy that can answer this?
Estimate how close a 0.4-solar-mass white dwarf must come to the center of a 3-solar-mass subgiant with radius 10 times that of the Sun in order for the white-dwarf's tidal field to strip matter from the companion's surface.
