No amount of meso loss would make me quit.
Mesos barely even have much meaning to me anymore since I pretty much only use them to buy potions and such when in town.
I honestly cannot remember the last time I used any of my mesos buying something from another player.

OT: i've "quit" about 6 times. first time was when I got hacked. That was pre big bang and i was devestated because i had a level 52.
second time i was hacked again, just after i'd spent $100 on NX.
third time was when my friends all quit
fourth i just got bored
fifth was when my laptop died
sixth was when i switched to a mac
I have no friends who actually play anymore.
I'm not all that emotionally invested in it. I haven't spent much time or money on it in ages
i'll probably get bored of it in a few weeks and not play for a month or two
who knows
i think i'd only quit if i got hacked.

Anywhere that's within level range of your char or 151+ mobs. Similarly to what he mentioned I just did gold beach on a new lumi and fought 4 elite bosses. Didn't fight for hours in a map, just happened that the spawn was within 1-2 more elites.

probably if my main were to be deleted (a lot of sentimental value) and all my friends quit

ive been hacked before and lost everything (over $1000 worth of stuff), and restarted right away
but now, id prolly just take a break or something, then get back into it sooner or later

Losing the ability to enjoy the game made me quit.

No point in playing maple if all I got out of it was just a chore, doing this boss and that boss and selling stuff - in a never ending process.

Losing my sword would make me quit most likely.
My sword's primed perfectly and 10 starred. It's potential needs work( Unique 15% att, 6% all stat and Bpot having 6% att) but it's 25% nebbed and it's anviled to a demon sickle (ambassador scythe).
Idk, it's pretty sentimentally valued to me I guess. If my main was deleted it'd be the end.

Well it depends but for me, it was months of doing daily gollux and selling scrolls/reinforced and commerci.
I wouldn't have much of a problem with mesos but all the items I have took weeks~months to make, just my cane
alone took roughly 5 months to equip so there is a bit of sentimental value in it. ^ mentioned character but I would
relate deletion of character as the worst of worsts scenario since that is all the items gone. Though I would say if someone
deleted every one of my characters except my phantom, I would probably be confused and baffled, taking it as a
sign that it was time to go.

Losing about 400 B would probably make me quit. Characters are a bit harder to value, but if my main was deleted it would probably have a similar weight.

@VoidWreck: Elite bosses. I made like 2b off of killing them when just training to 200; I wasn't even actively trying to find them.

I would quit if I lost as much mesos as I couldv'e had if I sold NX, so a couple hundred billion.

i wouldn't quit over mesos, i would quit over the loss of my guild cuz thats the only thing making maple interesitng

Not really a loss of money, more over a loss of friends or just nice people in general. I still occasionally run into some polite players and that always makes me a little happy in comparison; at least, to the many others who are just flat out rude.

I wouldn't quit over a loss of mesos but my items would easily make me quit. If I boomed any one of my items with the exception
of a ring/emblem I would quit instantly. It takes to long making them and I wouldn't have the heart to do it again. Especially if it
is something irreplaceable like my carte/cane/heart/tattoo/top which are all either primed or 27% luk +. I doubt months of bossing
would make up for my carte and cane especially in the games current economy. But that hasn't happened so~

So, one time I spent 80k in NX to get lively wave, but I never got it, so I just bought a 2b coupon instead then quit.
